''La muerte camina en la lluvia'' (English: ''The death walks in the rain'') is a 1948 Argentine suspense film directed by Carlos Hugo Christensen and based upon the novel ''L'assassin habite au 21'' written by Stanislas-André Steeman. It was premiered on September 7, 1948. In a survey of the 100 greatest films of Argentine cinema carried out by the Museo del Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken in 2000, the film reached the 35th position. Carlos Hugo Christensen
Carlos Hugo Christensen (Santiago del Estero, 15 December 1914 – Rio de Janeiro, 30 November 1999) was an Argentina, Argentine film director, screenwriter and film producer. He was of Danes, Danish descent through his paternal side. Christensen directed fifty-four feature films some of which are considered masterpieces of what is known as the Argentine golden era of cinema. ''Si Muero antes de despertar'' (''If I Should Die Before I Wake'') and ''No abras nunca esa puerta'' (''Never Open That Door''), were part of a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2016.
