La Grange Road Station
La Grange Road station, or La Grange station, is a train station in La Grange, Illinois. It is served by Amtrak's ''Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandburg'' and Metra's BNSF Line. Amtrak's ''California Zephyr'' and ''Southwest Chief'' also pass by this station, but do not stop here. It is one of two stations in the suburb of La Grange, another station named La Grange – Stone Avenue is away. La Grange Road
Mannheim Road, also known as La Grange Road from Cermak Road to U.S. Route 30 (US 30; Lincoln Highway), is a north–south major street in the near-western suburbs of Chicago. It carries US 12 from Des Plaines to 95th St near Hickory Hills, US 45 between Des Plaines on southwards past Frankfort, Illinois and carries US 20 between Lake Street in Stone Park, Illinois and 95th St. near Hickory Hills. The road is named after a former town called Mannheim that was founded by German farmers in what is now Franklin Park. From Cermak Road on the Westchester–La Grange Park border and points to the south, it is known as La Grange Road. Stone Avenue (also known as La Grange–Stone Avenue) is a station on Metra's BNSF Line in La Grange, Illinois. The station is from Union Station, the east end of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Stone Avenue is in zone C. As of 2018, Stone Avenue is the 55th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 946 weekday boardings. An unstaffed station building is on the south side of the three tracks. The BNSF Line (also known informally as the "Racetrack") is a Metra commuter rail line operated by the BNSF Railway in Chicago and its western suburbs. In 2010, the BNSF Line continued to have the highest weekday ridership (average 64,600) of the 11 Metra lines.
