La Falange (1999)
La Falange ( eng, The Phalanx), also known as FE/La Falange, is a Spanish political party registered in 1999. The party originated as a split of the Falange Española de las JONS, led by Gustavo Morales and Jesús López. Ideologically the party claims to be a successor of the original Falange Española of the 1930s, and follower of the ideas of José Antonio Primo de Rivera, Ramiro Ledesma Ramos, Onésimo Redondo and Julio Ruiz de Alda. History FE/La Falange was founded in 1999 after a split in FE-JONS, that was the result of an internal conflict between the faction of Diego Márquez Horrillo and the faction of Gustavo Morales. Finally, the first one won and the sector that supported Morales left FE-JONS. In the local elections of 1999 the party gained three town councillors. Since 2000-2001 the party adopted more xenophobic positions, in contrast to traditional falangism. Due to this ideological changes, a sector known as Falange Auténtica split in 2002. Falange Española de las JONS (Spanish for "Spanish Phalanx of the Committees for the National-Syndicalist Offensive", FE-JONS) is a Spanish political party registered in 1976, originating from a faction the previous Falange Española Tradicionalista y de las Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista. The word is Spanish for phalanx. Members of the party are called Falangists ( es, falangistas). The main ideological bases of the party are national syndicalism, Third Position and ultranationalism. Julio Ruiz De Alda
Julio Ruiz de Alda Miqueleiz (7 October 1897 in Estella, Navarre – 23 August 1936 in Madrid) was a Spanish aviator and founder of the Falange. He joined the Army at the age of 15 and developed an interest in planes. He was the co-pilot (with Ramón Franco) of the ''Plus Ultra'' as it completed a transatlantic flight in 1926. The ''Plus Ultra'' departed from Palos de la Frontera, in Huelva, Spain on 22 January and arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 26 January. It stopped over at Gran Canaria, Cape Verde, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and Montevideo. The 10,270 km journey was completed in 59 hours and 39 minutes. In 1931, along with José Antonio Primo de Rivera (Marquess of his birthplace), he was a founding member of the Falange movement. The Congress of Deputies ( es, link=no, Congreso de los Diputados, italic=unset) is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's legislative branch. The Congress meets in the Palace of the Parliament () in Madrid. It has 350 members elected by constituencies (matching fifty Spanish provinces and two autonomous cities) by closed list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method. Deputies serve four-year terms. The presiding officer is the President of the Congress of Deputies, who is elected by the members thereof. It is the analogue to a speaker. The Cortes Generales (; en, Spanish Parliament, lit=General Courts) are the bicameral legislative chambers of Spain, consisting of the Congress of Deputies (the lower house), and the Senate (the upper house). The Congress of Deputies meets in the Palacio de las Cortes. The Senate meets in the Palacio del Senado. Both are in Madrid. National Democracy (Spain)
National Democracy ( es, Democracia Nacional, DN) is a far-right political party in Spain, founded in 1995. It is modelled on the National Rally (RN) of France, and grew indirectly out of several defunct parties like the Spanish Circle of Friends of Europe (CEDADE) group and ''Juntas Españolas''. Until 2018, its leader was Manuel Canduela Serrano, a former member of ''Acción Radical'', a group active in the Valencian Community. He was also a vocalist in the so-called "identity" rock group Division 250. The party's current leader is Pedro Chaparro. Estelada
The Estelada (; pl. ''Estelades''; full name ''Senyera estelada'', , from ''estel'', "star") is an unofficial flag typically flown by Catalan independence supporters to express their support for either an independent Catalonia or independent ''Països Catalans'' (Catalan Lands, the territories in which Catalan is traditionally spoken). The design of the ''Estelada'' comprises the red-and-yellow bars of the ''Senyera'', with the addition of a five-pointed star in a triangle at the hoist. Spanish unionism is a term used by the Basque nationalism and Catalan independence movements to refer to the political attitude which opposes independence and favours the continuity of the Kingdom of Spain as a single united nation-state.
