LaViVe
LaVive were a German girl group consisting of Meike Ehnert, Sarah Rensing, Julia Köster and Katrin Mehlberg that was formed on the television show '' Popstars: Girls forever''. Their debut album '' No Sleep'' was released in December 2010. The single "I Swear" was released in November 2010 featuring the final eleven contestants of ''Popstars: Girls forever'', and the single " No Time for Sleeping" was released in December 2010. After LaViVe's record-deal with record label Starwatch/Warner expired in March 2011, Warner did not renew it, which led to the group's disbandment. No Time For Sleeping
"No Sleepin'" is a song recorded by Romanian singer Corina and Romanian rapper JJ, released on 25 October 2010. It was written by Andrei Maria, Corina and JJ, and produced by Maria, Bogdan Albulescu, Corina and Șerban Cazan. "No Sleepin marked the singer's return to the music industry after a hiatus. Musically, it is a synthpop-influenced uptempo dance song featuring a piano and a clink sound in its instrumentation; its lyrics revolve around partying at night and not sleeping. A music critic from Romanian website Divercity Cafe was positive towards the track, predicting its commercial success, while another compared it to the works of DJ BoBo. ''No Sleep'' is the only studio album recorded by German girl group LaViVe, released on 17 December 2010 on digital and physical formats by Starwatch Music. LaViVe was formed on the ninth installment of the German adaption of the international television talent show ''Popstars'' in 2010, and consisted of four members. Musically, ''No Sleep'' was described as a dance-pop album with Eurodance influences. Several covers were recorded for the album of material released by Romanian acts Akcent, Corina, Connect-R and Fly Project, as well as by American singer John Michael Montgomery. Music critics met ''No Sleep'' with mixed reviews, widely noting its lack of profundity, but pointing out the tracks "Keep On", "Hurtful" and "I Swear" as highlights. ''Popstars'' is an international reality television franchise aimed to find new singing talent. Serving as a precursor to the ''Idol'' franchise, ''Popstars'' first began in New Zealand in 1999 when producer Jonathan Dowling formed the girl group TrueBliss. Despite all shows in the ''Popstars'' franchise having been off air in recent years, it remains one of the most successful TV show formats of all time with the format being sold to more than 50 countries, and producing groups such as Girls Aloud that had success on the UK charts for the next ten years after winning.
