Rudy Macklin
Durand "Rudy" Macklin (born February 19, 1958) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'7" forward from Louisville, Kentucky, Macklin played at Louisiana State University from 1976 to 1981. In his very first game for LSU, he grabbed 32 rebounds against Tulane University. He missed most of the 1978–79 season because of an ankle injury, but recovered, and was named an NCAA First Team All-American in 1980 and 1981. As a senior, he was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year and led LSU to the NCAA Final Four. He graduated as LSU's all-time leading rebounder (1,276) and second-all-time leading scorer (2,080). In 1981, Macklin was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 52nd overall pick of the NBA draft. He played two seasons with the Hawks, averaging 6.5 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game. Howard O'Neal Carter (born October 26, 1961) is a retired American-French professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Louisiana State University (LSU) before being drafted 15th overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 1983 NBA draft. College career Howard "Hi-C" Carter played basketball for the LSU Tigers from 1980 to 1983, and played in the 1981 Final Four. While at LSU, Carter was named Second Team All-American in 1982 and in 1983.

2009–10 LSU Tigers Basketball Team
The 2009–10 LSU Tigers men's basketball team represented the Louisiana State University in the 2009–10 college basketball season. The head coach was Trent Johnson, who was in his second season at LSU. The team played its home games in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 11–20, 2–14 in SEC play and lost in the first round of the 2010 SEC men's basketball tournament. Tasmin Olajuwon Mitchell (born June 25, 1986) is an American basketball coach and former professional player, currently serving as an assistant coach for the LSU Tigers. A 5-star prospect in high school, Mitchell had a successful career at Denham Springs High School, being named first-team All-State for four years and he was a first-team ''Parade'' All-American and McDonald's All-American after his senior season in 2005.
