LR Ahlen
Rot Weiss Ahlen is a German football club based in Ahlen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Until 2006 the club was known as ''LR Ahlen'' for its major sponsor, but underwent a name change when the sponsor withdrew its support after the team was relegated to the Regionalliga (III) in that year. History The club has its roots in the local sides of the early 1900s formed by coalminers who played pickup games after work. In 1917, ''Freie Sportclub Union (FSCU) Ahlen'' was founded and became one of the region's best known teams, playing in the second tier leagues of the time. The rise of the Third Reich saw the club disbanded as over three-quarters of its members were foreigners making the side politically unpalatable to the regime. A new club, ''Tus Germania Ahlen'', was formed in 1933. This side merged with the strong local club ''Wacker Ahlen'' to create the town's largest sports association. Patrik Twardzik (born 10 February 1993) is a Czech footballer who plays as a midfielder for German club FC Gütersloh. Early life Twardzik was born in the Czech Republic but educated in Germany as his father played football there. Club career Twardzik and twin brother Filip started off their careers with Sachsen Leipzig before being signed by Hertha Berlin. On 1 February 2009, they were both signed by Celtic, a week before their 16th birthday. Filip and Patrik both suspended their education when they moved to Celtic. Uwe Fuchs
Uwe Fuchs (born 23 July 1966) is a German football coach and former player. Playing career Fuchs was born in Kaiserslautern. He was loaned to Middlesbrough towards the end of the 1994–95 season, playing just 15 games, but was instrumental in helping the club win promotion to the Premier League, scoring nine league goals. Fuchs went on to become a cult figure at Middlesbrough; but he was not kept at the club by manager Bryan Robson for the following season. Managerial career In January 2005, he took over the helm at the Wuppertaler SV (Regional Northern League). On 23 December 2008, he re-joined Wuppertaler SV, but was released on 2 April 2010. Peter Neururer
Peter Neururer (born 26 April 1955) is a German professional football manager, notable for coaching a number of Bundesliga clubs. Managerial career Neururer had a minor playing career in the lower leagues before moving into coaching at TuS Haltern and SG Weitmar. He moved into the higher leagues as assistant manager of Horst Hrubesch at 2. Bundesliga club Rot-Weiss Essen in the 1986–87 season, and eventually had a two-month spell in sole command in late 1987. Neururer won two of his nine matches as manager. Neururer then gained an outright managerial position at this level with Alemannia Aachen in January 1988. After landing the club a 6th-place finish where he won 10 out of 17 matches in the 1987–88 season and a strong following season, he was approached by Schalke 04, who were enduring a difficult season after relegation.
