LNV Ligue A Masculine
LNV Ligue A Masculine (LAM) is the top men's volleyball league in France, established in 1938. It is governed by the Ligue Nationale de Volley (LNV), an independent body that runs French professional volleyball under delegation from the French Volleyball Federation (FFVB). Prior to adopting its current name in 2009, the league used to be known as Pro A, a name it shared with its basketball equivalent. Stade (), officially the Hanseatic City of Stade (german: Hansestadt Stade, nds, Hansestadt Stood) is a city in Lower Saxony in northern Germany. Avignon Volley-Ball is a French professional Volleyball team based in Avignon, Vaucluse. It is playing in the Pro A (volleyball), Ligue B for the 2013/2014 season. History Initially, the Volley-ball team was a part of the Rugby league team of Avignon (SOA XIII), but in 1961 the club became independent. In 1996, "AVB" achieved its highest ranking in Pro A (volleyball), French volleyball league, finishing at the fourth place and qualifying for the Challenge Cup (volleyball), CEV European cup. Asnières Volley 92 is a French volleyball team based in Asnières-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine. The flagship men's team and its affiliates have historically formed one of the most successful organizations in French volleyball, claiming a total of 45 national titles across all age and gender groups as of 2016. The club was defunded by the city of Asnières and pulled out of the second-level Ligue B Masculine during the 2016 offseason.
