LNFA 2014
The LNFA 2014 season was the 20th season of top-tier American football in Spain. As in the previous season, the teams were divided into two categories, renamed Serie A and Serie B, with promotion and relegation between both divisions. The 2013-14 season started on November 6, with the first game of the Spanish Cup, and finished on June 15, with the LNFA Bowl game. L'Hospitalet Pioners are the defending champions, but lost to Badalona Dracs in the semifinals. Dracs ended the season winning their sixth title. Spanish Cup Seven teams entered the competition. L'Hospitalet Pioners won the title for the fifth time in a row and ninth overall. LNFA Serie A Six teams entered the LNFA Serie A, the top-tier level of American football in Spain. Overtime (sports)
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament. The rules of overtime or extra time vary between sports and even different competitions. Some may employ " sudden death", where the first player or team who scores immediately wins the game. In others, play continues until a specified time has elapsed, and only then is the winner declared. If the contest remains tied after the extra session, depending on the rules, the match may immediately end as a draw, additional periods may be played, or a different tiebreaking procedure such as a penalty shootout may be used instead. Murcia Cobras is an American football team based in Murcia, Region of Murcia (Spain). History The team was officially established in 1994. They played regional competitions for two years before joining the first season of the new Spanish national league in 1997, being included in the Second Division of the competition.
