LKL Three-point Shootout
The LKL Three-point Shootout, currently known as CBet.lt Three-point Shootout for sponsorship purposes, is a Lithuanian professional King Mindaugas Cup final day contest, that is held between the cup's final and third-place matches. Formerly, it was a part of the LKL's All-Star Day, and took place before the All-Star Game. History The very first slam dunk contest was won by Richard Thomas, of Šilutė, at the 1994 LKL All-Star Day, in Panevėžys. The current champion of the LKL Dunk Contest is Mindaugas Lukauskis, who won representing Lietuvos rytas. Rules Each Lithuanian Basketball League team has a chance to delegate one player for the contest, while the player with the league's best three-point field goal shooting percentage enters automatically. Competitors try to score as many points as possible, in one minute. Karaliaus Mindaugo Taurė
Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė (English: King Mindaugas Cup) is an annual national domestic basketball cup competition between Lithuanian professional teams. It is organised by the Lithuanian Basketball League (Lietuvos krepšinio lyga – LKL). The tournament is named in honor of Mindaugas, the first and only King of Lithuania. The Final four event includes an annual LKL Three-point Shootout contest, LKL Future Cup was introduced in 2018 with Žalgiris and Rytas youth teams competing for the cup. LKL Slam Dunk Contest was part of the Final four program until the event was removed in 2019. Donatas Slanina
Donatas Slanina (born 23 April 1977) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard in his professional career. He also shortly worked as an assistant coach. After starting his professional career in Šiauliai, he was best known for playing in Lithuanian champion Žalgiris and Pallacanestro Reggiana. He is one of the best three point shooter in Europe. Slanina also was member of Lithuania national team, winning gold medal in Eurobasket 2003. Coaching career In July 2015, Slanina was named the assistant to head coach Massimiliano Menetti, at Pallacanestro Reggiana, the club where he finished his playing career.
