LG Dare
The LG VX9700 (or "LG Dare") is a CDMA touch screen cell phone made by LG. The phone features touch screen navigation, a 3.2-megapixel camera with face recognition and many photo enhancing tools, a camcorder, customizable shortcut menus, handwriting recognition, and a multitask music player. The LG Dare is the third phone to have Rev. A technology - after the Sprint Mogul and Touch. In the US, the Dare was released online June 26, 2008 and was released in Verizon Wireless stores on July 3, 2008. The device is available in Canada on the Telus Mobility network, as the LG LG9700, using the same model name (Dare) as the U.S. market device. The only difference between the Verizon Wireless and Telus devices is that the Verizon Wireless version of the device includes a black front face with a black battery cover and the Verizon branding. Resistive Touch Screen
In electrical engineering, a resistive touchscreen is a touch-sensitive computer display composed of two flexible sheets coated with a resistive material and separated by an air gap or microdots. Description and operation There are two different types of metallic layers. The first type is called ''matrix'', in which striped electrodes on substrates such as glass or plastic face each other. The second type is called ''analogue'' which consists of transparent electrodes without any patterning facing each other. As of 2011 analogue offered lowered production costs. LG Vu
The LG Vu (CU915/CU920) is a touchscreen feature phone made by LG. It was released in May, 2008, almost a year after the iPhone and about four months before the first Android phone. The phone is on the AT&T network and the CU920 is capable of mobile TV. In Canada, a variant was sold under the model name TU915 by Rogers and Fido. LG Prada (KE850)
The LG KE850, also known as the LG Prada, is a touchscreen mobile phone made by LG Electronics. It was first announced on December 12, 2006 and was created in collaboration with Italian luxury designer Prada. It was made official in a press release on January 18, 2007. Sales started in May 2007, retailing for about $777 (600 euros). It is the first mobile phone with a capacitive touchscreen. The KE850 sold 1 million units in the first 18 months. A second version of the phone, the LG Prada II (KF900) was released December 2008. The LG Prada was announced shortly before Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the iPhone on January 9, 2007.
