The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod Foundation is the investment and trust administration corporation for the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS Foundation serves the LCMS, the Concordia University System, and the congregations, schools, seminaries, districts, Recognized Service Organizations, and other affiliated service organizations of the LCMS. Concordia University System
The Concordia University System (CUS) is an organization of seven colleges and universities and one satellite campus in the United States that are operated by the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS). All of the institutions are named "Concordia"—a reference to the Latin title of ''The Book of Concord'', the collection of Lutheran confessions—and all include professional church work programs as part of their curricula. KFUO (850 kHz) is a non-commercial AM radio station licensed to Clayton, Missouri and serving Greater St. Louis. It has a Christian talk and teaching radio format. KFUO is one of the oldest continuous operating Christian radio stations in the United States, with its first broadcast on . Kirkwood, Missouri
Kirkwood is an inner-ring western suburb of St. Louis located in St. Louis County, Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the city's population was 27,540. Founded in 1853, the city is named after James P. Kirkwood, builder of the Pacific Railroad through that city. It was the first planned suburb located west of the Mississippi River. The Pooled Income Fund (PIF) is a type of charitable mutual fund or charitable trust that pools the securities or cash separately donated by an individual, a family or a corporation to a charity, which is then invested to provide dividends for both the donor's beneficiary and charity. The donations are irrevocable and tax-deductible and must be from personal assets. Capital gains taxes do not apply to securities donated to such a fund.
