LA Revilla
Luis Alfonso Revilla (born November 30, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the NorthPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). College career Revilla, a San Beda Red Cub stalwart, was recruited by DLSU and suited up for the Green Archers in 2008. In his rookie season, he averaged 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 0.7 steals on 14.3 minutes per game, and was just a backup guard then to JVee Casio and Simon Atkins. His team lost to the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP Season 71 Finals. By the end of that season he was named a member of the league's All-Rookie team. In summer of 2009, a few months before the opening of the UAAP's 72nd Season, he was diagnosed to have type 2 diabetes, a condition, which he said, runs in their family. The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of twelve company-branded franchised teams. Ateneo Blue Eagles
The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. The collegiate women's varsity basketball team is called the ''Lady Eagles''. The Ateneo collegiate men's varsity basketball team was not always called the Blue Eagles. It got the name Blue Eagles when Ateneo adopted the ''Eagle'' as its mascot in 1938. Prior to that, from 1914 it was known under different names. Terrence Bill Vitanzos Romeo (born March 16, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Ryan Roose B. Garcia (born January 12, 1990) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected 6th overall in the 2013 PBA draft by the Barako Bull Energy Cola. Philippine Basketball Association Draft
The Philippine Basketball Association draft is an annual event dating back to 1985 in which the twelve teams from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) can draft players who are eligible and wish to join the league. The draft usually takes place between October to December, during the league's off-season. No player may sign with the PBA until he has been eligible for at least one draft. However, foreign player-nationals of Filipino descent are ineligible for both the draft and the league if they are aged 31 years and up. Eligibility All players have to be natural-born Filipinos. The UST Growling Tigers are the college athletic teams representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. UAAP Season 75 was the 2012–2013 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The season's theme was "Unbreakable at 75" in relation to the league's diamond year. It was hosted by National University. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments have been aired by ABS-CBN Channel 2 and Studio 23, the former for the thirteenth consecutive year and the latter since Season 69. This season, the men's football and women's softball both became a seven-school tournament. National University made a comeback in these two events. NU was participating in these two events in the 1940s up to the 1950s. NU also fielded for the first time men's and women's teams in Taekwondo to also make these events a seven-school tournament.
