L-Vis 1990
Night Slugs is an English electronic music record label, established in 2010 by Alex Sushon (also known as Bok Bok) and James Connolly (also known as L-Vis 1990). History Night Slugs was originally started as a London-based club night by DJs/producers Alex Sushon and James Connolly after the two met on Myspace in 2008. The first Night Slugs party was staged at the Redstar in Camberwell in March 2008, though the nights would eventually move to the more centrally located East Village. After artists featured at the club nights remained unsigned, Sushon and Connolly founded Night Slugs as a record label in January 2010 with the release of Mosca’s ''Square One EP''. That same year the label released their first compilation, ''Night Slugs Allstars Vol. 1''. Alex Sushon, known by his stage name Bok Bok, is an English music producer, artist, and founder of the UK record label Night Slugs. Cubic Zirconia (band)
Cubic Zirconia are an American electronic dance music trio from East Village, New York City composed of Tiombe Lockhart, Nick Hook and Daud Sturdivant. They have been noted for their energetic live performances and experimental sound, which combines elements from such genres as Chicago house music, neo-soul, rock and electro-funk. History The group was formed in the fall of 2008, when Men, Women & Children keyboardist Nick Hook met singer Tiombe Lockhart at a sake bar he worked at. Michael Cox, known by the stage name MikeQ, is an American DJ, musician, music producer, and prominent figure in the ballroom community. He is the founder of the record label Qween Beat. In 2020 MikeQ was the DJ for HBO's Legendary. Early life Michael Cox was born in Hackensack, New Jersey and grew up in Newark. He was first exposed to the ballroom scene in 2003, when the 17-year-old Cox attended a LGBT+ party at The Globe, a now defunct venue in Newark.
