L'Hospitalet Pioners
The L'Hospitalet Pioners (; "L'Hospitalet Pioneers") are a gridiron football team based in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Catalonia (Spain). History Their nickname recalls the history of the team, as they are one of the pioneering teams to play gridiron in Spain, together with Badalona Drags, Poblenou Búfals and Barcelona Boxers (defunct). The four teams played in 1988 the first Spanish championship. L'Hospitalet De Llobregat
L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (; es, Hospitalet de Llobregat), often shortened to L'Hospitalet or just L'H, is a municipality of Spain, located to the immediate southwest of Barcelona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia. It is part of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. By population, it is the second largest in Catalonia and the sixteenth in Spain. It is one of the most densely populated cities in the European Union. Badalona Dracs
The Badalona Dracs (, "Badalona Dragons") are a gridiron football team based in Badalona, Catalonia. History Three American football enthusiasts got together in Badalona on a December 1987's evening to found the team. They were Pere Moliner, first president of the team, Ramón Ventura and Italian Alfonso Genchi. The team was founded as Badalona Drags. Just a few months later, the team was established and the first ever American football game played in Spain was set for March 19th, 1988. Badalona Dracs played Palermo Cardinals (Italy), with a score of 18–12 for the Italians. Later on, the first organized league in Spain was created with the Dracs joining three other teams, L'Hospitalet Pioners, Barcelona Búfals and the defunct Barcelona Boxers. LNFA 2013
The LNFA 2013 season was the 19th season of top-tier American football in Spain. The season began with the Spanish Cup on November 11, 2012, and finished with the LNFA final on June 2, 2013. LNFA Elite Six teams entered the LNFA Elite, the top-tier level of American football in Spain. L'Hospitalet Pioners, Rivas Osos, Valencia Firebats and Badalona Dracs repeated from last year. Las Rozas Black Demons and Valencia Giants were promoted from last year LNFA. Playoffs The four top teams will play for the 2012 LNFA title. The semifinals will be 1st vs. 4th and 2nd vs. 3rd.
