L'Etat Et Moi
''L’Etat Et Moi'' is the second full-length studio album by the German rock band Blumfeld and was released in August 1994. ''L’Etat Et Moi'' is considered one of the most important albums in the Hamburger Schule movement. Miscellaneous The album was released by the Hamburg-based label Zickzack and by Big Cat Records. The British independent record label also distributed the album internationally. Zickzack re-released ''L’Etat Et Moi'' in 2001. It has been distributed by the label Blumfeld Tonträger since 2007. Blumfeld
Blumfeld () was an indie pop band from Hamburg, Germany, formed by singer and songwriter Jochen Distelmeyer. The name of the band was taken from the main character of the short story "Blumfeld, ein älterer Junggeselle" by Franz Kafka. Blumfeld are counted among the most significant representatives of the Hamburger Schule (''School of Hamburg'') and are considered to be one of the most successful combos of the German indie scene. Blumfeld's lyrics are characterized by a distinctive disdain for human life in the context of modern consumer society. Die Goldenen Zitronen ("The Golden Lemons") are a German punk rock band from Hamburg, formed in 1984. They are considered a forerunner to the "Hamburger Schule" and are noted for their anti-establishment stance. Formed by Schorsch Kamerun (vocals), Ale Sexfeind (drums), Ted Gaier (bass, guitar), and Aldo Moro (guitar, bass), the band have released thirteen albums to date. Of the original line-up only Kamerun and Gaier remain, who both developed a number of side-projects. Schorsch Kamerun
Schorsch Kamerun, (born 1963) whose real name is Thomas Sehl, is a German musician, singer, author, theatre director, and club proprietor. His stage name is a parody of the name of the singer of American punk band Dead Kennedys, called Jello Biafra. Biography Kamerun was born in Timmendorfer Strand. He is best known as the founding member and lead singer of Die Goldenen Zitronen, a political punk band from Hamburg. Tocotronic
Tocotronic is a German rock band founded in 1993 (see 1993 in music). Similar to Blumfeld or Die Sterne they are considered a part of the Hamburger Schule (''Hamburg School'') movement. They are influential for bands such as Wir sind Helden. Tocotronic were signed by L'Age D'Or, a German independent record label situated in Hamburg, in 1994 after quickly gaining popularity in the local scene. Their early style consists of ironic sloganeering ("I want to be part of a youth movement") and almost diary-like songwriting, paired with a lo-fi rock sound with elements of punk rock and grunge. Die Sterne is a two/three/four-piece indie pop band, from Hamburg, Germany. They were formed in 1991 and have released twelve studio albums, the most recent in 2022. Members The band consists of Frank Spilker (vocals and guitar), Thomas Wenzel (bass and vocals), and Christoph Leich (drums). Rocko Schamoni, (born May 8, 1966), real name Tobias Albrecht, is a German entertainer, author, musician, club proprietor and member of the comedy ensemble Studio Braun. Biography Rocko Schamoni was born in Lütjenburg. He released his first vinyl-single ''Liebe kann man sich nicht kaufen'' in 1987 followed by a lot of albums and singles. In 1998 he started the project ''Studio Braun'' with two other musicians from Hamburg. In 2000 he also started authoring books. German Rock
