Könkämäeno
Könkämäeno ( sv, Könkämäälven; se, Geaggáneatnu) is a river in Finland and Sweden in Finnish and Swedish Lapland. It forms the upper course of the Muonionjoki river, which begins where the Könkämäeno river meets the Lätäseno river. The river begins from Lake Kilpisjärvi and forms together with Muonionjoki and the lower course of Torne River the border between Sweden and Finland. Finland–Sweden Border
The Finland–Sweden border (or Finnish–Swedish border) is the border between the countries of Finland and Sweden. Almost the entire border runs through water: along the Tornio River and its tributaries, and in the Gulf of Bothnia. Only a few kilometres of the border are on dry land. Because of the Schengen treaty and the Nordic Passport Union, the border can be crossed mostly freely. Kilpisjärvi is a medium-sized lake located at the north-western tip of Finland and northernmost Sweden. Treriksröset, the point where the borders of Finland, Sweden and Norway join is located some northwest from the lake. The lake is divided into two parts, Kilpisjärvi ( se, Bajit Gilbbesjávri) and Alajärvi (). Being located on the Scandinavian Mountains, the lake is surrounded by numerous fells, most notably Saana. The northern location and high elevation cause the lake to be frozen most of the year. Lätäseno ''Leahttáseatnu'' (Northern Sami), is a river of Finland in Finnish Lapland. It is a tributary of Muonio River, which itself is a tributary of Torne River. The river is a popular fishing destination. It flows through the Lätäseno-Hietajoki wetland protection area. It is also part of the Poroeno-Lätäseno canoe route (which begins in the Käsivarsi Wilderness Area), and offers lean-to shelter and wilderness hut accommodation.
