Kyzyltas

Geography Kyzyltas is one of the ranges of the southern part of the Kazakh Upland system (Saryarka). The slightly higher Kyzylarai massif rises to the southeast and the Karkaraly and Kent mountain ranges lie to the northeast. The ridges of the Kyzyltas are deeply dissected by gorges, valleys and ravines. The Nura river has its sources in the range and flows northwards and then westwards into Lake Tengiz. Its main tributary Sherubaynura also has its sources in Kyzyltas. Sherubaynura
The Sherubainura ( kk, Шерубайнұра; russian: Шерубайнура) is a river in the Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. It is long and has a catchment area of . The river is the main tributary of the Nura. It freezes between November and April. The main settlements near its banks are Rostovka, Kyzylzhar, and Tegiszhol. Course The Sherubainura has its sources near the western slopes of the Kyzyltas range of the central Kazakh Uplands. It heads roughly northwestwards among mountains all along its course. Its main tributaries are the Karamys, Taldy, Tumatai, Kyzylkoi, Topar and Sokyr. There are three dams in the river, the Zhartas, the Krasnopolyanskoye and the Sherubaynura Dam. The Nura ( kk, Нұра, ''Nura''; russian: Нура) is a major watercourse of northeast-central Kazakhstan. It is long and drains an area of . Course The river rises in the Kyzyltas mountains, a subrange of the Kazakh Uplands and flows initially north-northwestwards for about . It then turns to the west and flows in that direction for , then southwest for . The Nura turns north near Esengeldi for about , eventually turning southwest as it draws close to Nur-Sultan near the river Irtysh. From there, it flows southwest for almost , through a series of lakes, finally ending in the endorheic Lake Tengiz. The Tokrau ( kk, Тоқырау) is a river in Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. Its mouth lies northeast of Balkhash City and east of the Bektauata range. The Egizkoytas burial complex of the Bronze Age and Early Iron Age is located in the upper course of the river. Kyzylarai
Kyzylarai ( kz, Қызыларай) is a massif located in Aktogay District, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. The place is rich in natural and historical sights. Begazy burial grounds (Begazy-Dandybai culture of the Bronze Age) are one of them. The world's largest mountain sheep, the Argali, can be seen in the area. There are also ruins allegedly belonging to a 17th century Buddhist lamasery of the time of Buddhism in Kazakhstan, the Kyzyl Kent site. Birch
A birch is a thin-leaved deciduous hardwood tree of the genus ''Betula'' (), in the family Betulaceae, which also includes alders, hazels, and hornbeams.
