Hanja (Hangul: ; Hanja: , ), alternatively known as Hancha, are Chinese characters () used in the writing of Korean. Hanja was used as early as the Gojoseon period, the first ever Korean kingdom. Choi Kyoung-hwan (born June 22, 1955) is a South Korean politician who was a member of the National Assembly of South Korea in the Hannara Party. He represented the Gyeongsan-Cheongdo region of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Choi has promised to work for the extension of Daegu Subway Line 1 beyond the borders of Daegu to Gyeongsan, and to expand the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology. Lee Kyung-Hwan (March 21, 1988 – April 14, 2012) was a South Korean football player. He played for Daejeon Citizen Daejeon Hana Citizen Football Club (Korean 대전 하나 시티즌 축구단) is a South Korean professional football team based in Daejeon that competes in the K League 1, the top tier of South Korean football. 2014 North Korean Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in North Korea on 9 March 2014 to elect the members of the 13th Supreme People's Assembly. Background This was the first election since the assumption of Kim Jong-un as leader of the country as the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea, following the death of his father Kim Jong-il and the execution of Jang Song-thaek. Outside observers claimed the elections were an effective way to poll the population on their opinion on the government. In addition, it functioned as a way for the government to determine whether any of its citizens had illegally changed their voting district within the country, or if people had left the country. The North Korean Government did so by enforcing borders and surveillance, in order to make sure that the voter turnout is reflective of the population.
