Kylähullut was a Finland, Finnish hardcore punk band consisting of Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom), Tonmi Lillman (ex-To/Die/For and Lordi), and Vesku Jokinen (Klamydia). The band name means "Village Idiots" in Finnish language, Finnish. The band was formed by Alexi Laiho as a side project, in 2004. The band was created merely for the entertainment of the musicians, and took a carefree approach to their music. Alexi Laiho
Alexi Laiho ( IE-ho born Markku Uula Aleksi Laiho; 8 April 1979 – 29 December 2020) was a Finnish guitarist, composer, and vocalist. He was best known as the lead guitarist, lead vocalist and founding member of the melodic death metal band Children of Bodom, and was also the guitarist for Sinergy, the Local Band, Kylähullut, and Bodom After Midnight, which formed just prior to his death. Laiho had previously played with Thy Serpent and Impaled Nazarene on occasion, as well as Warmen and Hypocrisy. Career Laiho started playing violin at the age of seven and guitar at the age of eleven. His main guitar influence was Helloween. He then became interested in more extreme, mainly black metal music. Vesku Jokinen
Vesa "Vesku" Jokinen (born 1970) is the lead singer in Finnish punk rock band Klamydia, based in Vaasa on the Finnish west coast, and in Kylähullut. He and his friends in the band created the record label Kråklund Records in the beginning of the 1990s because they were unsatisfied with the big record companies. He has also worked solo releasing the 2000 solo album called ''Outo Kunnia'' (meaning Strange honor in English). In 2012, he released a joint album with Sundin Pojat entitled ''Juuret''. Tonmi Lillman
Tonmi Lillman (born Tommi Kristian Lillman, 3 June 197313 February 2012) was a Finnish musician, best known as Otus, the former drummer of the Finnish hard rock band Lordi. Lillman died on 13 February 2012 after an illness. Career Lillman's father was a musician, and as a result he grew up surrounded by a large assortment of instruments. Tonmi received his first drum kit at age 9 and started performing live at age 14. Apart from drums and bass guitar, his primary instruments, Tonmi also played the keyboards and guitar. Prior to his death, he was involved in the bands Ajattara, Kylähullut, Vanguard and 3rror. From his previous bands, he became best known as the drummer of Sinergy, To/Die/For and Lordi. In his professional career Lillman also taught digital recording and drums at Kouvola Musiikkiopisto (Kouvola Conservatoire). To/Die/For (often abbreviated TDF) are a gothic metal band from the town of Kouvola in southeast of Finland, originally assembled in 1993 as a hard rock band under the name Mary-Ann. In 1999, they decided to change their musical style to gothic metal, changing their band name as well. The band disbanded in April 2009, but reformed in July 2009, and played their final concert at John Smith Festival in Finland on 22 June 2016. They reformed once again in early 2020. Klamydia (Finnish language for Chlamydia) is a Finnish punk rock band from Vaasa, Finland. The band's name was chosen because it was the worst name that came to their minds. History The band was formed in 1988, and has been continuously active since then. The band publishes records in very short intervals (about one LP per year), and has experienced many line-up changes. The only remaining original member is the current vocalist, Vesa "Vesku" Jokinen. The band is notable for founding its own record company, Kråklund Records. Klamydia has always been renowned as a humor band, but they have a lot of songs criticizing society, and other songs about serious subjects like incest, as well as love songs.
