Kyle Amor
Kyle Amor (born 26 May 1987) is a TV broadcaster and former Ireland international rugby league footballer who last played as a for the Widnes Vikings in the Betfred Championship. He played for Whitehaven in the Championship winning the competition Young Player of the Year award. Amor played for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League, and on loan from Leeds at Whitehaven in the Championship and the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the Super League. He later joined Wakefield on a permanent deal, before joining Saints. At St Helens he has won the Super League Grand Final four times; in 2014, 2019, 2020 & 2021 as well as the Super League League Leaders Shield in 2014, 2018 & 2019. Amor also featured off the bench in the 2019 Challenge Cup Final loss at Wembley Stadium to the Warrington Wolves. Whitehaven
Whitehaven is a town and port on the English north west coast and near to the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. Historically in Cumberland, it lies by road south-west of Carlisle and to the north of Barrow-in-Furness. It is the administrative seat of the Borough of Copeland, and has a town council for the parish of Whitehaven. The population of the town was 23,986 at the 2011 census. The town's growth was largely due to the exploitation of the extensive coal measures by the Lowther family, driving a growing export of coal through the harbour from the 17th century onwards. It was also a major port for trading with the American colonies, and was, after London, the second busiest port of England by tonnage from 1750 to 1772. 2019 Challenge Cup Final
The 2019 Challenge Cup Final was the deciding game of the Rugby Football League's 2019 Challenge Cup competition, the 118th staging of the competition. The match was held at Wembley Stadium in London on 24 August 2019 with kick off at 15:00. The final was contested by the Warrington Wolves and St Helens, the first time the two sides have met in a major final. Background The two sides have never met in a Challenge Cup final before. The 2019 Super League Grand Final was the 22nd official Grand Final and championship-deciding game of Super League XXIV. It was held at Old Trafford in Manchester on 12 October 2019. The final was contested by St. Helens and Salford Red Devils (who were appearing in their first ever grand final). BARLA
The British Amateur Rugby League Association (BARLA) is an association for social and recreational rugby league. It works jointly with the Rugby Football League through the RFL Community Board. History BARLA was created in 1973 in Huddersfield at the George Hotel by a group of enthusiasts concerned about the dramatic disappearance of many amateur leagues and clubs. Hensingham ARLFC is an amateur Rugby league club based in Whitehaven. Founded in 1900, It wasn't until 1920 that the Club changed its allegiances to Rugby League. Hensingham are one of the oldest rugby clubs in the country. They now play their rugby in the NCL Division Three. National Conference league Hensingham ARLFC were elected to enter the Kingstone Press National Conference league in 2019 along with two other teams Heworth A.R.L.F.C. and Batley Boys ARLFC.
