Kyaw Tin
Kyaw Tin ( my, ကျော်တင်; born 31 October 1955) is former union minister for International Cooperation of Myanmar. He also served as deputy minister of Foreign Affairs under Aung San Suu Kyi. As of November 2021, Kyaw Tin continued to be recognized by ASEAN as Myanmar's foreign minister. Early life and education Kyaw Tin was born on 31 October 1955 in Wuntho of Sagaing Division. He graduated with a masters degree with Mathematics from Yangon University and earned his post-graduate diploma in environmental management from Dresden University of Technology in Germany. Career Foreign affairs Kyaw Tin served in the foreign affairs services for approximately 30 years. The Ministry of International Cooperation is a ministry of Myanmar. It is one of the two foreign affairs ministries of Myanmar. The ministry is currently led by union minister Ko Ko Hlaing who is appointed by SAC Chairman Min Aung Hlaing. Formation Htun Htun Oo, Union Attorney General, posted a bill from the president to the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw for the formation of two new ministries on 20 November 2017. Attorney General said Myanmar is actively involved in international affairs. In doing so, the new Union Ministry was formed to cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in international relations and to have a ministry that would be accountable to the President from a political and economic perspective on international affairs. Sagaing Region ( my, စစ်ကိုင်းတိုင်းဒေသကြီး, ; formerly Sagaing Division) is an administrative region of Myanmar, located in the north-western part of the country between latitude 21° 30' north and longitude 94° 97' east. Tatmadaw (, , ) is the official name of the armed forces of Myanmar (formerly Burma). It is administered by the Ministry of Defence and composed of the Myanmar Army, the Myanmar Navy and the Myanmar Air Force. Auxiliary services include the Myanmar Police Force, the Border Guard Forces, the Myanmar Coast Guard, and the People's Militia Units. A coup d'état in Myanmar began on the morning of 1 February 2021, when democratically elected members of the country's ruling party, the National League for Democracy (NLD), were deposed by the Tatmadaw—Myanmar's military—which then vested power in a military junta. Acting president Myint Swe proclaimed a year-long state of emergency and declared power had been transferred to Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Min Aung Hlaing. It declared the results of the November 2020 general election invalid and stated its intent to hold a new election at the end of the state of emergency. Htin Kyaw
Htin Kyaw ( my, ထင်ကျော်, or ; born 20 July 1946) is a Burmese politician, writer and scholar who served as the ninth president of Myanmar from 30 March 2016 to 21 March 2018. He was the first elected president to hold the office with no ties to the military since the 1962 coup d'état. The second son of scholar Min Thu Wun, Htin Kyaw had held various positions in the education, planning and treasury ministries in prior governments. The state counsellor of Myanmar ( my, နိုင်ငံတော်၏ အတိုင်ပင်ခံပုဂ္ဂိုလ်) was the title of the ''de facto'' head of government of Myanmar, equivalent to a prime minister. The office is currently vacant following the arrest of the first and only state counsellor, Aung San Suu Kyi, in the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état. The office was created in 2016 since the Constitution of Myanmar prohibits Suu Kyi from assuming the presidency. Ko Ko Hlaing ( my, ကိုကိုလှိုင်, born 24 October 1956 in Myinmu) is a Burmese military researcher and writer, served under Thein Sein as the chief political advisor to the President's Office of Myanmar, after being appointed on 19 April 2011.
