Ko Ko Hlaing
Ko Ko Hlaing ( my, ကိုကိုလှိုင်, born 24 October 1956 in Myinmu) is a Burmese military researcher and writer, served under Thein Sein as the chief political advisor to the President's Office of Myanmar, after being appointed on 19 April 2011. In 1976, he graduated from the Defence Services Academy. The following year, he joined the Myanmar Army, as a gazetted officer. From 1991 to 2004, he served as the War Office's First Class Chief Researcher. Myanmar Army
The Myanmar Army ( my, တပ်မတော်(ကြည်း), ) is the largest branch of the Tatmadaw, Armed Forces (''Tatmadaw'') of Myanmar (Burma) and has the primary responsibility of conducting land-based military operations. The Myanmar Army maintains the second largest active force in Southeast Asia after the People's Army of Vietnam, with a troop strength of around 350,000 in 2006. Press Scrutiny And Registration Division
The Press Scrutiny and Registration Division ( my, စာပေစိစစ်နှင့်မှတ်ပုံတင်ဌာန, formerly the Press Scrutiny Board or PSB) is a division under the Ministry of Information, responsible for censorship of media in Burma today. Its current director is Major Tint Swe. PSRD censors all forms of media, ranging from publications such as newspapers and magazines and other published content like books. New publishers are required to register publications with the PSRD. The PSRD's time-consuming and arbitrary process has forced nearly all privately held news publications in Burma to publish on a weekly or monthly basis. All of the daily newspapers in Burma are government-owned. Thein Sein ( my, သိန်းစိန်; IPA: ; born 20 April 1944) is a Burmese politician and retired general in the Myanmar Army who served as the eighth President of Myanmar from 2011 to 2016.
