Kvamsøya, Møre Og Romsdal
Kvamsøya is an island in the municipality of Sande in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located east of the Stad peninsula in Selje Municipality and about west of the village of Larsnes on the island of Gurskøya. The island lies in the Vanylvsgapet, the entrance to the Vanylvsfjorden. The island has been inhabited for a very long time. There have been settlements found on the island dating back to the Bronze Age. Kvamsøya has an area of and 231 inhabitants (2014), all of whom live along the shoreline. The largest population centre on the island is the village of Bringsinghaug. Møre og Romsdal (; en, Møre and Romsdal) is a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway. It borders the counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestland. The county administration is located in the town of Molde, while Ålesund is the largest town. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. Vanylven is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Sunnmøre region. The administrative centre is the village of Fiskåbygd. Voksa
Voksa is an island in Sande Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island lies about east of the island of Kvamsøya, about south of the island of Sandsøya, about west of the larger island of Gurskøya, and about north of the mainland village of Åram in neighboring Vanylven Municipality. The island is fairly flat except for one high hill along the southern shore. There are a few residents of the island, scattered about several farms on the island. Since 1965, there has been a long road/bridge/causeway connection to the island of Sandsøya (to the north). The residents of Sandsøya must drive to Voksa to reach the only regular ferry connection to the islands. Vanylvsfjorden
Vanylvsfjorden is a fjord in western Norway, on the border of Vestland and Møre og Romsdal counties. The long fjord runs between the mainland of Vanylven Municipality and the Stad peninsula of Stad Municipality, with the islands of Sande Municipality lying in the mouth of the fjord. The inner part of the fjord branches into the Syltefjorden and Kjødepollen. The deepest part of the fjord reaches about below sea level, just northeast of the village of Borgundvåg. There are settlements all around the shoreline of the fjord and on some of the islands at the mouth of the fjord.
