Krush Organization
Krush is a martial arts entertainment planning and promotion brand established in 2008, currently based in Japan. It is the sister brand of K-1, and has produced numerous future K-1 competitors, such as Takeru Segawa, Tatsuya Tsubakihara and Yuki Egawa. It features events across ten male and three female weight classes. Current Krush champions History Krush was launched in 2008, prior to the death of K-1 FEG, as a collaboration between K-1 and All Japan Kickboxing Federation. It was launched as a feeder organization to K-1, and was accordingly seen as the second tier of K-1 competition. On June 22, 2009, organization representative Toshio Kaneda was arrested, alongside seven other members of the executive committee. Following their arrests, the AJKF was dissolved. The remaining committee and staff members founded "Good Loser", a parent company which continued organizing events under the Krush brand. Shuhei Kumura
Shuhei Kumura (玖村 修平) is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Tokyo, Japan. He is the current Krush Featherweight (-57.5kg) champion. As of June 2022, Combat Press ranks him as the fourth best super flyweight kickboxer in the world. Kickboxing career NJKF Kumura made his professional debut at NJKF 2013 5th against Hiroki Matsuoka, winning the fight by unanimous decision. He would go on to amass an 8–3 record, which earned him the chance to fight Koudai Kusaka for the NJKF Bantamweight title. He beat Kusaka by a fourth-round TKO. His last fight with NJKF was at NJKF 2017 west 4th, when he fought Ryo Takahashi. Kumura lost the fight by unanimous decision. Pancrase
Pancrase Inc. is a mixed martial arts promotion company founded in Japan in 1993 by professional wrestlers Masakatsu Funaki and Minoru Suzuki. The name was based on pankration, a fighting sport in the Ancient Olympic Games. Suzuki and Funaki practiced catch wrestling. They based the promotion and its rules on professional wrestling. The promotion's champions were called "King of Pancrase". The rules allowed closed-fisted punches, except to the head, and palm strikes to the head. A wrestler must break a submission hold when the opponent reaches the ropes, but a wrestler who claims a rope break loses a point. A wrestler who claims a specified number of rope breaks (between 3 and 5) was disqualified. From 1998 to 2000, the promotion changed its rules to resemble other mixed martial arts promotions. All Japan Kickboxing Federation
All Japan Kickboxing Federation ( ja: 全日本キックボクシング連盟, A.J.K.F.) was the Japan-based sanctioning and promoting body of professional kickboxing. It was established in 1987 and it was dissolved in 2009. The informal name was "''Zen Nihon Kikku''. Masato who won K-1 World Max in 2003 debuted as a professional kickboxer at AJKF. History Establishment All Japan Kickboxing Federation (AJKF) was established in July 1987 by former members of the Martial Arts Japan Kickboxing Federation (MAJKF). This withdrawing was caused by Jun Nishikawa, the owner of Nishikawa Gym, and Toshio Kaneda, the event promoter. They enticed all of the current champions and other kickboxing gyms from MAJKF. is a Japanese kickboxer, currently competing in the atomweight divisions of K-1 and Krush, where she is the current Krush Atomweight champion and the current K-1 Atomweight champion. Kickboxing career Early career Prior to making her professional debut, Sugawara competed as an amateur, during which time she won the 2017 K-1 All Japan B-Class tournament at 50 kg and the 2018 K-1 All Japan B-Class tournament at 45 kg. Atomweight (also referred to as light minimumweight, junior strawweight, junior mini-flyweight and pinweight) is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing In women's boxing and junior amateur boxing pinweight is, or has been, a Weight class (boxing), weight class for boxers weighing in under (before 2003, 45 kg). Kotomi Misawa (born 28 July 1996), popularly known as KOTOMI is a Japanese kickboxer, currently signed with K-1, where she is the Krush Women's Flyweight champion. As of November 2020, she is ranked the #8 pound for pound female kickboxer in the world, according to Combat Press.
