Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal District
Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal District is a former district that was located in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of Accra Metropolitan District in 1988 (later as a sub-metropolitan district council on 2003), until the far eastern portion of the district was split off to create Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal District on 1 November 2007 (effectively 29 February 2008); thus the remaining part has been retained as Accra Metropolitan District. However on 15 March 2018, it was split off into two new municipal districts: Ledzokuku Municipal District (capital: Teshie-Nungua) and Krowor Municipal District (capital: Nungua). Elizabeth Afoley Quaye
Elizabeth Afoley Quaye (born 1970), is currently the Member of Parliament for Krowor constituency in Greater Accra region Ghana. She is also the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture. Education Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness from the Central University College. Nii Oakley Quaye-Kumah
Nii Oakley Quaye-Kumah is a Ghanaian politician and a Veterinary Surgeon. He was the member of parliament for the Krowor Constituency from 7 January 2009 to 6 January 2017. He was also the chief executive officer of a number of veterinary hospitals. Early life and education Quaye-Kumah was born on 26 September 1959. He hails from Nungua, in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. He obtained his Master of Veterinary Science from a university in Ukraine in 1989. Career Quaye-Kumah is a Veterinary Surgeon. Greater Accra Region
The Greater Accra Region has the smallest area of Ghana's 16 administrative regions, occupying a total land surface of 3,245 square kilometres. This is 1.4 per cent of the total land area of Ghana. It is the second most populated region, before the Ashanti Region, with a population of 5,455,692 in 2021, accounting for 17.7 per cent of Ghana's total population. This is a list of the 275 constituencies represented in the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, as at the December 2016 general election. It had been increased from 260 at the previous election in December 2012 parliamentary election. Each constituency is represented by a single member of parliament (MP). Accra Metropolis District
The Accra Metropolitan District is one of the 254 Metropolitan, Municipal and Districts in Ghana, and among the 26 such districts in the Greater Accra Region with a population of 284,124 as of 2021. As of March 2018, it spans an area of approximately and encompasses the Ablekuma South, Ashiedu Keteke, and Okaikoi South sub-metropolitan district councils. The district was established by the Local Government Act of 1993 (Act 462) and Legislative Instrument 1615.
