Kristine Jensen
Kristine Jensen (born 1956), is a Danish architect who has specialized in landscape architecture. Biography Jensen was born in Herning where her father was an architect. When she was 19 she went to Aarhus to study landscape architecture at the Aarhus School of Architecture, graduating in 1983. After a short period working for C. F. Møller Architects, she returned to the architecture school to undertake research leading to a PhD in 1996. From 1996, she taught at the school until in 2002 she founded her own firm, Arkitekt Kristine Jensens Tegnestue. In 2005, she won a competition for landscaping the historic surroundings of Moesgård Museum just outside Aarhus, an assignment completed in collaboration with the museum's director Jan Skamby Madsen. Works of particular note include her urban revival of the Prags Boulevard in the Amagerbro district of Copenhagen (2006). Dreyers Fond (English: The Dreyer Foundation) is a Copenhagen based Danish foundation founded by husband-and wife Thorvald and Margot Dreyer in 1976. Thorvald Dreyer was an architect. Margot Dreyer was a lawyer. The foundation supports projects and activities aimed at promoting the development of the architects’ and lawyers’ professions and their interaction with society. The annual Dreyer Honorary Award honors excellence in architecture as well as law. The foundation is also active in the market for real estate investments. Real estate portfolio Løvenborg Dreyers Fond is based in the Løvenborg building on Vesterbrogade in Copenhagen. The building is from 1906 and was designed by Anton Rosen. Nykredit Architecture Prize
The Nykredit Architecture Prize is the largest Danish architecture prize. Founded by the Nykredit Foundation (an arm of the Nykredit Group), it is awarded annually to a person, or group of people, who have personally, or through their work, made a significant contribution to the building industry in the form of architecture or planning, etc. The recipient receives DKK 500,000, making it one of the largest architecture prizes in the world in terms of prize money. The Eckersberg Medal (originally the ''Akademiets Aarsmedaille'' or Annual Academy Medal) is an annual award of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Jelling
Jelling is a railway town in Denmark with a population of 3,658 (1 January 2022), located in Jelling Parish, approximately 10 km northwest of Vejle. The town lies 105 metres above sea level. Location Jelling is located in Vejle municipality and Region of Southern Denmark. The town is mainly famous for the Jelling stones, national monuments. Until the Municipal Reform of 2007 on 1 January 2007, Jelling was the capital of Jelling municipality. Jelling was also the only town in the former Vejle County headquarters for a bank – Jelling Sparekasse, which had its headquarters in the town until 2007 when it merged with , headquartered in Grindsted.
