Habib Wahid (born 15 October 1979) is a Bangladeshi composer and singer. He works on modern pop music, EDM and a fusion of traditional Bengali folk music with contemporary techno and urban beats. His music is mainly influenced by British Bangladeshis, while he was living in the UK as a student. He is the son of the 1970s singer Ferdous Wahid. He has also produced music in Indian Bengali movies. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director for the film '' Projapoti'' (2011). Early life Habib Wahid was born and brought up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His ancestral home is in Kusumpur in Srinagar of Munshiganj (Bikrampur).He attended South Breeze School in Dhanmondi. Ektaar Music ( bn, একতার মিউজিক; a reference to the Ektara instrument) is a Bangladeshi record label based in Dhaka. It was founded by Feisal Siddiqi Bogey, Sheikh Monirul Alam Tipu, and others in 2002. Ektaar was also known for its opposition to piracy. It was one of the largest record labels in Bangladesh, specializing in folk revival. Feisal Siddiqi Bogey is the CEO of the label. Baul Shah Abdul Karim ( bn, শাহ আবদুল করিম; 15 February 1916 — 12 September 2009) was a Bangladeshi Baul musician. He was awarded the Ekushey Padak in 2001 by the Government of Bangladesh. Some of his notable songs include "Agey Ki Shundor Din Kataitam", "Keno Piriti Baraila Re Bondhu", "Murshid Dhono He Kemone Chinibo Tomare", "Nao Banailo Banailo Re Kon Mestori", "Ashi Bole Gelo Bondhu" and "Mon Mojale Ore Bawla Gaan".
