Kresten Bjerre
Kresten Bjerre (22 February 1946 – 19 February 2014) was a Danish footballer, who played professionally for Houston Stars in the United States, and European clubs PSV Eindhoven and R.W.D. Molenbeek. Nicknamed "Generalen" (the General),Kurt Stendal, "Generalen gik forrest", ''Berlingske Tidende'', 21 February 2006 the defender obtained a total 22 caps for the Danish national team, for which he scored twelve goals in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Playing career Club Born in Copenhagen, Bjerre started playing football with local clubs Boldklubben Sylvia and Akademisk Boldklub (AB). Danish Football Championship
The Danish football champions are the winners of the highest league of football in Denmark. The title has been contested since 1913, in a varying form of competitions. Since 1991, the winners have been found through the Danish Superliga championship. The Danish football championship is governed by the Danish Football Association (DBU). The early Danish football championships were decided in a single game, and the competition was not nationwide until its structure was altered before the 1927–28 season. Benny Nielsen (footballer, Born 17 March 1951)
Jørgen "Benny" Nielsen (born 17 March 1951) is a Danish former association football, football player. His position on the field was usually Striker (association football), striker, although he also could play as midfielder. 1968 UEFA European Football Championship
The 1968 UEFA European Football Championship final tournament was held in Italy. This was the third UEFA European Championship, an event held every four years and organised by UEFA. The final tournament took place between 5 and 10 June 1968. It was in this year that the tournament changed its name from the "European Nations' Cup" to the "European Championship". There were also some changes in the tournament's qualifying structure, with the two-legged home-and-away knock-out stage being replaced by a group phase.
