Koulis Apostolidis
Kyriakos "Koulis" Apostolidis (Greek: Κυριάκος "Κούλης" Αποστολίδης; born 3 March 1946) is a Greek former footballer. He began his career in the North American Soccer League and finished it with PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece. Apostolidis lead the NASL in goals in 1971 and later earned six caps with the Greece national football team. He has also coached in the Greek First Division, most recently with PAOK Thessaloniki FC. Playing Youth and college Apostolidis joined PAOK in 1959 making his debut with the first team in 1963. In 1964, he left for studies in the United States. The Greek Football Cup ( el, Κύπελλο Ελλάδος Ποδοσφαίρου), commonly known as the Greek Cup or Kypello Elladas is a Greek football competition, run by the Hellenic Football Federation. The Greek Cup is the second most important domestic men's football event, after the championship of Super League. 1971 North American Soccer League Season
Statistics of North American Soccer League in season 1971. This was the 4th season of the NASL. Overview Eight teams competed with Dallas Tornado winning the championship. However Dallas' road to that title was the stuff of legends. In Game 1 of the best-of-three semifinal against the Rochester Lancers, league scoring champion Carlos Metidieri of Rochester mercifully ended the longest match in NASL history, 2–1, late in the 6th 15 minute OT period. The golden goal was scored in the 176th minute, or less than four minutes shy of playing two complete games in one day! Three days later Dallas evened the series at one game each with a 3–1 regulation win. In the rubber match four days later, the two teams ended regulation tied again at 1 goal apiece. This time the game would reach a 4th OT before Bobby Moffat sent Dallas into the Finals in the 148 minute. Maik Galakos
Ilias "Maik" Galakos ( el, Μάικ Γαλάκος) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker and was active during the 1970s and 1980s. Galakos was born on 23 November 1951 in Kalogreza, Greece and his family emigrated to Germany where he first played football for Fortuna Düsseldorf (1972–1973). He returned to Greece and played for Olympiacos from 1973 to 1981 before signing with Panathinaikos. Galakos played for the greens between 1981 and 1985. He retired after playing in 255 Alpha Ethniki matches. Galakos was capped 30 times by the Greece national team, scoring five goals.
