Kotsiubynske ( uk, Коцюбинське) is an urban-type settlement and municipality in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast (province) of Ukraine. The municipality is an enclave and located outside the borders of Kyiv Oblast, instead fully surrounded by the nation's capital Kyiv ( Svyatoshyne Raion). It is the only locality in Kotsiubynske settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: . History The settlement appeared in 1900 as a khutir Berkovets during the construction of the railroad Kyiv - Kovel (1897-1903). The khutir consisted of a single homestead which served as a residence for local forest rangers in the Bilychi Woods. The settlement belonged to the Kyiv-Podil Administration of State Property. In 1903 near the khutir was constructed a passing loop which later transformed into a train station Bilychi. Bucha Raion
Bucha Raion ( uk, Бучанський район, translit=Buchanskyi raion) is a raion (district) of Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. It was created in July 2020 as part of the reform of administrative divisions of Ukraine. Its administrative center is the town of Bucha. One abolished raion, Borodianka Raion, parts of abolished Kyiv-Sviatoshyn and Makariv Raions, as well as Irpin Municipality and the city of Bucha, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance, were merged into Bucha Raion. The name of the raion is derived from the Dniester river. Irpin ( uk, Ірпі́нь, ) is a Hero City of Ukraine located on the Irpin River in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast (province) right next to the city of Kyiv in northern Ukraine. Passing Loop
A passing loop (UK usage) or passing siding (North America) (also called a crossing loop, crossing place, refuge loop or, colloquially, a hole) is a place on a single line railway or tramway, often located at or near a station, where trains or trams travelling in opposite directions can pass each other. Trains/trams going in the same direction can also overtake, provided that the signalling arrangement allows it. A passing loop is double-ended and connected to the main track at both ends, though a dead end siding known as a refuge siding, which is much less convenient, can be used. A similar arrangement is used on the gauntlet track of cable railways and funiculars, and in passing places on single-track roads. Ideally, the loop should be longer than all trains needing to cross at that point. Second Battle Of Donetsk Airport
A part of the ongoing war in the Donbas region of Ukraine, the Second Battle of Donetsk Airport began on 28 September 2014. An earlier battle in May 2014 had left Donetsk International Airport in Ukrainian control. Despite a ceasefire agreement, the Minsk Protocol, in place starting 5 September 2014, fighting broke out between Donetsk People's Republic forces affiliated with Russia, and Ukrainian military and volunteer forces. At the start of the battle, the airport lay between the separatist and Ukrainian lines of control, and was the last part of Donetsk city held by Ukrainian government forces. Heavy fighting over the airport continued into the new year, with some of the worst fighting taking place in January 2015. Bacina ( uk, Біличі, pl, Bilicz) is a village ( selo) in Sambir Raion, Lviv Oblast, of Western Ukraine. It belongs to Staryi Sambir urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.
