Flowers Hills
The Flowers Hills () are a triangular shaped group of hills, long and wide, with peaks of ( Gubesh Peak) and ( Dickey Peak), extending along the eastern edge of the Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. The hills are bounded by Hansen Glacier and Dater Glacier to the west and north, Rutford Ice Stream to the east and Sikera Valley to the southwest, and separated from Doyran Heights to the west-southwest by Kostinbrod Pass. Their interior is drained by Lardeya Ice Piedmont and Valoga Glacier. The hills were first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1957–59, and were named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Edwin C. Sentinel Range
The Sentinel Range is a major mountain range situated northward of Minnesota Glacier and forming the northern half of the Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. The range trends NNW-SSE for about and is 24 to 48 km (15 to 30 mi) wide. Ellsworth Mountains
The Ellsworth Mountains are the highest mountain ranges in Antarctica, forming a long and wide chain of mountains in a north to south configuration on the western margin of the Ronne Ice Shelf in Marie Byrd Land. They are bisected by Minnesota Glacier to form the Sentinel Range to the north and the Heritage Range to the south. Valoga Glacier
Valoga Glacier ( bg, ледник Валога, lednik Valoga, ) is the glacier extending 8 km in southwest-northeast direction and 4 km in southeast-northwest direction in Flowers Hills on the east side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. Sikera Valley
Sikera Valley ( bg, долина Сикера, ‘Dolina Sikera’ \do-li-'na si-'ke-ra\) is an ice-filled valley spanning 17 km long and 5.7 km wide. The valley is located between Doyran Heights and Flowers Hills on the east side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. A nameless steep 4-km side glacier drains northeastwards from Mount Havener in Doyran Heights, and empties into the upper part of the valley, south of Kostinbrod Pass. The valley ice flows southeastwards towards the Rutford Ice Stream. The feature is named after the medieval fortress of Sikera in southeastern Bulgaria. Location Sikera Valley is centred at . Kostinbrod
Kostinbrod ( bg, Костинброд ) is a town in western Bulgaria. It is the seat of Kostinbrod Municipality. It is located 15 km west of the capital city of Sofia. It is located on two important transport corridors: Lom — Sofia — Thessaloniki and Sofia — Belgrade. The international railway line to Western Europe passes through the municipality, with a train stop at Kostinbrod Station. The town is crossed by two rivers, the Blato in the north and the Belitsa in the south, both tributaries of the Iskar River. According to the legends, the town was founded by a certain Georgi, who settled near the crossing (брод, ''brod'') of the Belitsa, thus giving the name to the town (''Kostinbrod'' means "Georgi's ford"). There he opened a pub that became popular among the merchants arriving in the capital, some of them settling and organizing a village, whose centre of the time is now located west of the road between Sofia and Lom. Mount Havener () is a mountain rising to directly at the head of Guerrero Glacier, in the Doyran Heights of the Sentinel Range, in the Ellsworth Mountains of Antarctica. It was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, from 1957 to 1959, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Melvin C. Havener, a mechanic at South Pole Station in 1957. Dickey Peak () is a rocky peak rising to 1504 m in the northwestern part of the Flowers Hills in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. It overlooks Dater Glacier to the west and Lardeya Ice Piedmont to the east.
