Kostas Bigalis
Kostas (or Costas) Bigalis (Greek: Κώστας Μπίγαλης, born 15 March 1953 in Athens) is a Greek composer and singer. Biography He began his artistic career at the age of 19 when he was won a music competition and signed his first contract with EMI Greece. In 1978, he was cast in the contemporary opera "Utopia", by Mimis Plessas and Kostas Virvos, and in 1979, he starred in the Greek version of the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar," in the lead role of high priest Annas. In the same year, Bigalis attended the Drama School of Athens. In the summer of 1980, he starred in the role of Hermes in the musical adaptation of "Lucian Dialogues", which was performed at the Athens Festival at the Lycabettus Theater. In the same year, he was cast in a small part in Universal's TV film "Acts of the Apostles Peter and Paul", starring Anthony Hopkins. Elina Konstantopoulou
Maria-Elpida (Elina) Konstantopoulou ( el, Ελίνα Κωνσταντοπούλου; born 11 November 1970) is a Greek singer. She represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995. Biography Konstantopoulou was born in Athens and studied music and singing in the National Conservatory of Athens. Right after that she started to work as a professional singer at night clubs. In 1993, she was introduced to Nikos Terzis, who was at the time a young and fresh yet successful composer. They started to work together and Nikos composed three songs for her. She immediately signed for a music contract and her first album was out to the stores in 1994. Though a rookie, Elina had the summer hit of Greece in that year. Her song "Otan to tilefono htipisei" (When the phone rings) was a success. In 1995, she and Terzis co operated once more. Greece In The Eurovision Song Contest
Greece has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 42 times since its debut in , missing six contests in that time (1975, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1999 and 2000). Greece's first win came in 2005 with "My Number One", sung by Helena Paparizou. Katerina "Katy" Garbi ( el, Κατερίνα "Καίτη" Γαρμπή, ; born 8 June 1961) is a Greek singer active in Greece and Cyprus, with some popularity in Turkey.
