Kosovo, Plovdiv Province
Kosovo is a village in Plovdiv Province, Bulgaria. Geography Kosovo is located in Rhodope Mountains, in their central part, five kilometers away from a spa. It is surrounded with untouched nature, with four rivers flowing through it. It could be easily reached from cities of Asenovgrad (30 km), Pamporovo (36 km), Plovdiv (50 km) and Sofia (197 km). History Kosovo was settled in the 17th century by settlers from Staro Selo near . Its pinnacle was in the late 19th century, and houses from this age still remain today. In the 20th century the village went into decline. Culture Kosovo has typical Rhodope architecture. It has 63 cultural monuments, of which five have national significance. Bulgaria

Rhodope Mountains
The Rhodopes (; bg, Родопи, ; el, Ροδόπη, ''Rodopi''; tr, Rodoplar) are a mountain range in Southeastern Europe, and the largest by area in Bulgaria, with over 83% of its area in the southern part of the country and the remainder in Greece. Golyam Perelik is its highest peak at . The mountain range gives its name to the terrestrial ecoregion Rodope montane mixed forests that belongs in the temperate broadleaf and mixed forests biome and the Palearctic realm. Asenovgrad ( bg, Асеновград ) is List of cities and towns in Bulgaria, a town in central southern Bulgaria, part of Plovdiv Province. It is the largest town in Bulgaria that is not a province center. Pamporovo
Pamporovo ( bg, Пампорово, ''pronunciation'': /pam'porovo/) is a popular ski resort in Smolyan Province, southern Bulgaria. It is set amongst Norway spruce forests and is primarily visited during the winter for skiing and snowboarding. It is also a popular tourist place in summer. The hub of Pamporovo comprises a number of hotels and bars. It is a family-friendly resort and suited for complete beginners and intermediates.
