''Koottu'' () is a 2004 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed by Jayaprakash. The movie was produced by Asharaf Liwa, Faisal Babu and Muneer K. under the banner of Liwa Films International. The film stars Richard Rishi, Aravind Akash, Sai Kumar, Manoj K. Jayan and Thilakan in lead roles. The film had musical score by Mohan Sithara. Richard Rishi is an Indian actor who predominantly appears in Tamil and Telugu films and few Malayalam and Kannada films. He is known for Koottu, ''A Film by Aravind'' and his controversial caste movies with director Mohan G, namely '' Draupathi'' and '' Rudra Thandavam''. Production Despite a relatively high-profile launch through ''Kadhal Virus'', Rishi found it difficult to experience further success in the following years. Vijayaraghavan (actor)
Vijayaraghavan (born 20 December 1951) is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He is popular for his character roles. He is the son of popular drama and cinema artist N. N. Pillai. He got his break by playing the iconic character ''Ramji Rao'' in 1989 film Ramji Rao Speaking. This character later got the cult status in Malayalam Cinema. Kaithapram Vishwanathan Namboothiri (1963 – 29 December 2021) was an Indian musician and music director. He was awarded Kerala State Film Award for Best Background Music in 2001 for his background music for Kannaki. Life and career Viswanathan was born in Kaithapram village in Payyanur Taluk of Kannur district in 1963 to Kannadi Kesavan Namboothiri (A Carnatic musician and a disciple of Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar) and Adithi Antharjanam as their youngest child. His eldest brother, Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, is a lyricist and a poet. Gireesh Puthenchery
Girish Puthenchery (1961–2010) was a noted Malayalam Lyricist, Poet, Scriptwriter and Screenwriter. He was always referred to as the aristocratic lyricist of Malayalam who had a distinctive writing style of his own. He also served as the director of Indian Performance Rights Society Malayalam division (I.P.R.S) and governing council member of the Kerala Kalamandalam and Kerala Lalithakala Academy. He debuted with the movie Enquiry in 1989. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist seven times. A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. Sukumari
Sukumari Amma (6 October 1940 – 26 March 2013) was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films.
