Konysheva Natta
Natta Ivanovna Konysheva (russian: Натта Ивановна Конышева; 9 June 1935 – 16 March 2022) was a Russian painter. Biography In 1959 Konysheva graduated from Moscow Polygraphists Institute. She has participated in the exhibitions since 1965. From 1960 to 1970 she worked in industrial graphic design. She illustrated and designed books for the following publishing houses: Sovetsky Pisatel, Geographizdat, Altaisky publishing house. In 1974 Konysheva joined MSKh (Moscow Painters Organization). A member of Women Artists Association "IRIDA". She started from participation in the apartment’s views and rare semi-permitted shows in the large scale exhibitions. She is promoting her method of art as "reportage with miracle elements". Konysheva's personal exhibitions were held in Moscow, Russia (1974, 1987, 1988, 2005, 2008) and in France (1988, 1994). Katya Ivanovna Medvedeva (russian: Екатери́на Ива́новна Медве́дева ''Ekaterina Ivanovna Medvedeva''; born 1937) is a Russian naïve painter. Biography Yekaterina (Katya) Medvedeva was born January 10, 1937 in the village Golubino of Novooskolsky District in Belgorod Oblast into a peasant family. Her parents died of starvation in 1947, when she was nine years old, and she was brought up in the Shusha's orphanage of the Nagorno-Karabakh autonomous region Azerbaijan SSR. In her life, she worked at many different jobs, including: a waitress, postwoman, weaver, teacher, costume designer. In 1976 (aged 39), by chance, she observed a painting class in an arts studio and decided to paint herself, with prolific output. Her paintings were soon recognised by art critics and she began to have exhibitions. Her works are now in public and private collections.
