Vasilios Kotronias ( el, Βασίλειος Κοτρωνιάς; first name sometimes spelled ''Vassilios''; born 25 August 1964) is a Greek chess player and writer. He is a ten-time Greek champion (1986, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 2006, 2010, 2014). Kotronias was awarded the titles of International Master in 1986 and Grandmaster in 1990 by FIDE. Ernesto Inarkiev
Ernesto Inarkiev (russian: Эрнесто Инаркиев; born 9 December 1985) is a Russian chess grandmaster, the first ever from Kalmykia. He was European champion in 2016. Since July 2005, Inarkiev has continuously been among the 100 highest FIDE-rated chess players in the world. Inarkiev was part of the Moscow team that won the Russian championship in rapid chess in 2015. Life and career Inarkiev, who was named after Ernesto "Che" Guevara, was born in Khaidarkan, Kyrgyzstan (then part of the Soviet Union). In 1999, he won the Asian under-16 championship and the men championship of Kyrgyzstan. He played for Kyrgyzstan in two Chess Olympiads: 1998 and 2000. In 2000, he accepted Kirsan Ilyumzhinov's offer to move to Elista with his family and started to represent the Russian Chess Federation and Kalmykia. Lê Quang Liêm (born 13 March 1991) is a Vietnamese chess grandmaster, the top-ranked of his country. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2006. Liêm is the current Asian champion and was the World Blitz Chess Champion in 2013. He has competed for team Vietnam at the Chess Olympiad since 2006. The best result occurred in 2012, when he scored 8/10 points on board 1 and his team finished in 7th place, the highest ever for Vietnam. Evgeny Ilgizovich Bareev (russian: Евгений Ильгизович Бареев; born 21 November 1966) is a Russian-Canadian chess player and trainer. Awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 1989, he was ranked fourth in the FIDE world rankings in October 2003, with an Elo rating of 2739. Chess career Bareev was world under 16 champion in 1982. In 1992 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physical Culture. The biggest success in his career was winning the Corus supertournament in Wijk aan Zee 2002. Erwin L'Ami
Erwin l'Ami (born 5 April 1985 in Woerden) is a Dutch chess grandmaster. Early years l'Ami learned to play chess at the age of five, when his father introduced him to the moves and then took him to the local chess club. Chess career At Gausdal in 2004, he won the tournament, ahead of Magnus Carlsen and despite being expected to finish no higher than mid-table. He soon fulfilled the requirements for an International Master (IM) title, awarded the same year. Becoming a full-time professional, the opportunities for travel continued to suit his lifestyle and in 2005, he complemented his training and dedication with a few good wins, gaining the necessary norms to be awarded the Grandmaster title.
