The club was created in 2012, when Kohtla-Järve JK Alko and Kohtla-Järve FC Lootus Kohtla-Järve FC Lootus was an Estonian football club from Kohtla-Järve. 2015 Esiliiga B
The 2015 Esiliiga B was the 3rd season of the Esiliiga B, the third-highest Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2013. The season started on 4 March 2015 and concluded on 8 November 2015. Starbunker won the league, finishing with 81 points and were promoted to the Esiliiga. It was their first Esiliiga B title in history. Järve finished 2nd and were promoted to the Esiliiga. Sillamäe Kalev II finished 3rd and qualified to the promotion play-offs but subsequently withdrew. Puuma finished 8th and qualified to the relegation play-offs but were beaten by Welco 2–5 on aggregate and relegated to the II liiga. Ararat TTÜ and Flora III were the bottom two teams and were relegated to the II liiga. The 2019 Esiliiga was the 29th season of the Esiliiga, the second tier of Estonian football. Teams A total of 10 teams were contesting the league, including six sides from the 2018 season, one relegated from 2018 Meistriliiga and three promoted from the 2018 Esiliiga B. The 2017 Esiliiga and 2018 Esiliiga champions Maardu Linnameeskond were promoted to the highest tier for the first time. Nõmme Kalju U21 was the first team to suffer relegation after just returning to Esiliiga. Keila also immediately returned to Esiliiga B after losing the relegation play-offs to Järve. Tallinna Kalev U21 narrowly avoided relegation in its debut season thanks to Santos' decision to start the new season in the fourth tier II liiga. The 2018 Esiliiga B was the 6th season of the Esiliiga B, third-highest Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2013. Teams Of the 10 participating teams 4 remained following the 2017 Esiliiga B. The 2017 champions Kalju U21, runners-up Kalev U21 and 4th placed Keila JK were promoted to Esiliiga, while 10th place Sillamäe Kalev U21 was relegated and Viimsi JK and Raasiku Joker decided not to participate in 2018 Esiliiga B. For this season those six teams will be replaced by 6 II Liiga teams. They are: Lasnamäe Ajax, Nõmme United, Pärnu JK, Tallinna Legion, Flora U19 and Võru Helios. The 2017 Esiliiga B was the 5th season of the Esiliiga B, third-highest Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2013. The season began on 1 March 2017. Teams Of the 10 participating teams 5 remain following the 2016 Esiliiga B. The 2016 champions Kuressaare and runners-up Elva were promoted to Esiliiga, while 9th place Flora U19 and 10th place Tulevik II were relegated. For this season those five teams will be replaced by the Esiliiga relegated Vändra Vaprus, Kohtla-Järve JK Järve and Nõmme Kalju U21 and II Liiga promoted Keila and Paide Linnameeskond U21.
