Koenigsegg CCR
The Koenigsegg CCR is a Mid-engine design, mid-engine sports car manufactured by Koenigsegg and the successor to the company's previous offering, the Koenigsegg CC8S, CC8S. Overview Debuting at the March Geneva Auto Show#2004, 2004 Geneva Auto Show, the CCR was the most powerful version of the Koenigsegg CC range cars at the time. Like the CC8S it features dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors. It has, however, various improvements. A larger front splitter for optimized downforce and tweaked headlight arrangement came standard with a rear wing. New larger tires and wheels equipped with larger brakes. Upgraded suspension and a more powerful engine with twin Rotrex Superchargers, producing at 6900 rpm and of torque at 5700 rpm. To honour the Swedish Fighter Jet Squadron No 1 (Johan röd) which had occupied the current facility of Koenigsegg, the CCR is adorned with a symbol of a ghost, the symbol of the squadron. Cylinder (engine)
In a reciprocating engine, the cylinder is the space in which a piston travels. The inner surface of the cylinder is formed from either a thin metallic liner (also called "sleeve") or a surface coating applied to the engine block. The Koenigsegg CC8S is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Swedish automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg. It was the company's first production automobile and the first production car to use the company's trademark dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors. At its introduction, it won several awards, including the Guinness World Record for the Most Powerful Production Engine and design awards from both Red Dot in Germany and Utmärkt Svensk Form in Sweden. Development The CC8S was developed from the CC prototype. It was the culmination of 8 years of research and development. Despite limited resources, the chassis, suspension, brakes, and several other components were designed in-house by Koenigsegg.
