Mari Kodama
(born 1967) is a classical pianist who has performed in Europe, North America and Japan. Background Kodama was born in Osaka, Japan in 1967 and raised in Germany and Paris, France due to her father's postings in these countries as well as Switzerland and England. She and sister Momo are daughters of a pianist mother and banker father. Their mother gave up performances for teaching and Mari assuming everyone played piano. She wanted to begin play at age 2, but her parents thought she was too young. She was able to read notes by age three. By the age of 10, she had already decided to be a concert pianist deciding not to return to Japan to prepare for university. She studied piano at the Conservatoire de Paris starting at age 14, under Germaine Mounier, and chamber music under Geneviève Joy-Dutilleux and while still a teenager, was performing in various European competitions. Yoshio Kodama
was a Japanese right-wing ultranationalist and a prominent figure in the rise of organized crime in Japan. The most famous '' kuromaku'', or behind-the-scenes power broker, of the 20th century, he was active in Japan's political arena and criminal underworld from the 1930s to the 1970s, and became enormously wealthy through his involvement in smuggling operations. Early life Yoshio Kodama was born on February 18, 1911, in Nihonmatsu, Fukushima, Japan to a family formerly of samurai status. Kodama was the fifth son of a bankrupt Nihonmatsu businessman. Due to his family's straitened circumstances, in 1920 Kodama was sent to live with a married older sister in Korea and lived there for three years. , also known as Phoenix Rie, was a Japanese video game artist, director, and producer employed by Sega from 1984 until her death. She is primarily known for her work on role-playing games (RPGs) including the original ''Phantasy Star'' series, the '' 7th Dragon'' series, and ''Skies of Arcadia'' (2000). is a Japanese classical pianist. She was born in Osaka but grew up in Europe, attending the Conservatoire de Paris with older sister Mari. She made her debut in 1991 with the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and was the youngest winner of the International Piano Competition in Munich at age 19. María Kodama Schweizer (10 March 1937 – 26 March 2023) was an Argentine writer and translator. The widow of author Jorge Luis Borges, she was the sole owner of his estate after his death in 1986. Borges had bequeathed to Kodama his rights as author in a will written in 1979, when she was his literary secretary, and bequeathed to her his whole estate in 1985. Kiyoshi Kodama
was a Japanese TV personality and actor. He hosted the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation quiz show '' Panel Quiz Attack 25'' continuously for thirty-six years from its start in April 1975 until he was forced to step down due to poor health at the end of March 2011. His signature catchphrase on the show is " Attack Chance!" An avid reader, Kodama hosted a TV book review show. He also published his own books. is a former Japanese football player and manager. He is the currently an assistant manager of Gamba Osaka. Playing career Kodama was born in Takatsuki on October 8, 1982. He joined J1 League club Gamba Osaka from youth team in 2001. Although he played as left side midfielder, he could not become a regular player. In 2006, he moved to J1 club Kyoto Purple Sanga.
