Arvid Knutsen
Arvid Knutsen (3 March 1944 – 4 January 2009) was a Norway, Norwegian footballer and later coach. He joined Viking FK from Stavanger IF Fotball, Stavanger IF in 1961, and made his senior team debut in 1963. With Viking he won the Norwegian Premier League, Norwegian First Division in Norwegian First Division 1972, 1972, Norwegian First Division 1973, 1973, Norwegian First Division 1974, 1974 and Norwegian First Division 1975, 1975, and also took bronze medals in Norwegian First Division 1968, 1968 and Norwegian First Division 1971, 1971. He played for Viking 396 times, scoring 117 goals. From 1976 he coached the team. Outside of his sporting career, Knutsen worked as a high school teacher at Stavanger Cathedral School. He took his education at the University of Bergen in 1969 and at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences in 1981. He married in 1974, and had two daughters. Paul Knutsen Barstad Sandvik
Paul Knutsen Barstad Sandvik (9 April 1847 – 24 December 1936) was a Norwegian educator and musician. Biography He was born at Ørsta in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. He was a son of Knut Barstad and his wife Ragnhild, née Brekke. His father died in 1849, and his mother remarried to Knut Sandvik in 1855. He attended school in Volda as well as Stord Teacher's College, and worked in his early career as a teacher in Volda, Nordfjord and Helgøya (from 1869). In June 1870 in Borgund he married Nikoline Mork (1847–1927) from Volda. He was the father of musicologist Ole Mørk Sandvik and singer Ingeborg Sandvik Kristensen. He was later headhunted to work in Hamar, the regional large city near Helgøya. While living here he also co-edited the periodical ''Norsk Skoletidende'', founded in Hamar by Nils Hertzberg (editor from 1869 to 1873), stepping down in 1918. Tove Karoline Knutsen (born 14 January 1951 in Torsken) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Troms in 2005. Tormod Knutsen
Tormod Kåre Knutsen (7 January 1932 – 23 February 2021) was a Norwegian Nordic combined skier, who won the Nordic combined event at the 1964 Winter Olympics, and came second at the 1960 Winter Olympics. He won four national championships, and in 1960, he received the Norwegian Holmenkollen Medal. Sports career Knutsen started as a ski jumper, winning the national junior titles in 1949 and 1951. He failed to qualify for the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, after which he considered taking up Nordic combined skiing. Whilst completing military service, he met Nordic combined skiers Gunder Gundersen and Sverre Stenersen, who encouraged him to take up the event. Knutsen won a bronze medal in the Nordic combined event at the 1955 national championships. Roald Engelbregt Gravning Amundsen (, ; ; 16 July 1872 – ) was a Norwegian explorer of polar regions. He was a key figure of the period known as the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration.
