Klaudia Kulon
Klaudia Kulon (born 13 March 1992) is a Polish chess player. She holds the titles of International Master and Woman Grandmaster, which FIDE awarded her in 2019 and 2014 respectively. She was twice world girls champion in her age category. Chess career Kulon started to play chess at the age of 7 in the Koszalin University of Technology chess club. From 2002 Kulon won several times the Polish Youth Championships in different age categories. She won the World Youth Chess Championships twice: in 2004, in the Girls U12 category, and 2006, in the Girls U14. In 2008, she was the runner up, behind Nazí Paikidze, at the European Youth Chess Championships in the Girls U16 section. In 2007, Kulon competed in the Polish women's championship for the first time, held that year in Barlinek, and finished seventh. She won the Polish women's blitz championship in 2006, 2017, 2018. Koszalin
Koszalin (pronounced ; csb, Kòszalëno; formerly german: Köslin, ) is a city in northwestern Poland, in Western Pomerania. World Team Chess Championship
The World Team Chess Championship is an international team chess event, eligible for the participation of 10 countries whose chess federations dominate their continent. It is played every two years. In chess, this tournament and the Chess Olympiads are the most important international tournaments for teams. The strongest national teams in the world participate, and also some teams represent an entire continent. A full round is played by the teams, meaning that each team plays against every other team. At the first tournament, in 1985, teams consisted of six players; since then, teams have been reduced to four players. Reserve players are permitted. The 41st Chess Olympiad ( no, Den 41. Sjakkolympiade), organised by the FIDE, Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) and comprising an open and women's tournament, as well as several events designed to promote the game of chess, took place in Tromsø, Norway, between 1–14 August 2014. The organiser was Chess Olympiad Tromsø 2014 AS on behalf of FIDE. A total number of 1,570 players participated at the Olympiad, with 881 in the men and 689 in the women's section.
