Kjwan
Kjwan is a Filipino hard rock band formed in 2003 by former Sandwich guitarist and lead vocalist Marc Abaya and Dicta License bassist Kelley Mangahas. History Long-time friends and former high school bandmates Marc Abaya (vocals) and Kelley Mangahas (bass) got together with fellow Ateneans Jorel Corpus (guitar) and J-hoon Balbuena (drums) to form the band's initial lineup. In 2004, Boogie Romero (guitar), another high school friend and former bandmate of Marc and Kelley, joined the lineup. They released their self-titled debut album in 2004 with their carrier hit single “Daliri” which gained constant airplay on radio stations and television. Kjwan released their second album, '' 2StepMarv'' three years later under Barnyard Music. The band won Favorite Indie Artist in the local music channel MYX’s music awards night. 13 Seconds To Love (Kjwan Album)
''13 Seconds to Love'' is the third album by Filipino rock band, Kjwan. It was first launched on digital format on 6 February 2009 at A. Venue Mall (Makati), preloaded on Nokia 5800 XpressMusic cellphones. Although the album was released around 21 July 2009 through MCA Music Philippines, it was only until exactly a month later that the CD was officially launched at Saguijo (Makati). Album information A Malaysian DJ/producer once told Kjwan that he can tell whether a song will be a hit within the first thirteen seconds. It stuck with the band and brought this along with their song writing with love as the common theme. Kjwan focused mainly on the album's songwriting and put flashy guitar solos, drum fills, and complicated odd-time bits on the backseat resulting to a different sound from the band's two previous albums. Ramon Marcelino Diaz Abaya (born November 6, 1979), known professionally as Marc Abaya, is a Filipino singer, actor, musician, TV host, and VJ. He appeared in the 2009 Philippine release of ''Tinker Bell''. He is the son of actor/director Manolo Abaya and director Marilou Diaz-Abaya. Musical career Abaya was discovered by Raimund Marasigan of Eraserheads during a "battle of bands" in which Abaya's band Shirley Beans won first place. Marasigan, who was one of the judges for the night, invited Abaya to act as frontman for the band Sandwich in 1998. Ikon Asean

6UNDERGROUND Live & Raw (also known as 6UG) is a music venue in the Philippines established in 2004. Kapatid (band)
Kapatid was a Filipino rock supergroup fronted by Karl Roy, the brother of Kevin Roy of Razorback. He was also the vocalist of bands Advent Call and P.O.T. The band was originally composed of Nathan Azarcon (of Rivermaya, Bamboo and Hijo) on bass, J-Hoon Balbuena (of Kjwan) on drums, Ira Cruz (of Passage, Bamboo and Hijo) on rhythm guitar and the late Chico Molina on lead guitar. In music performances, rhythm guitar is a technique and role that performs a combination of two functions: to provide all or part of the rhythmic pulse in conjunction with other instruments from the rhythm section (e.g., drum kit, bass guitar); and to provide all or part of the harmony, i.e. the chords from a song's chord progression, where a chord is a group of notes played together.
