Kjell Inge Olsen
Kjell Inge Olsen (born 26 September 1961 in Stavanger) is a former head scout and manager at Viking FK. In 2003, Kjell Inge Olsen took over as manager of Viking, and that season finished fifth in the league. During Olsen's time in charge, the team also played their last game at Stavanger stadion against Stabæk in their last home page that autumn. At the beginning of the 2004 season, Viking moved to a new stadium in Jåttåvågen, Viking Stadion. Viking faltered in Olsen's first season as a manager, and opened the season with a 0-4 defeat to Tromsø which spelt the end of his management career. He resigned "for personal reasons" but failed to find another management job. On 9 August 2007, he was presented as the new head scout, while Svein Fjælberg Svein Fjælberg (born 12 January 1959) is a Norwegian former football defender. Stavanger Stadion
Stavanger Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Stavanger, Norway. It was used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and hosted the home matches of Viking FK. The stadium opened on 13 August 1917, and was able to hold 17,555 people at the end of its life as Viking's home ground in 2004. The west stand was the largest single-tier spectator stand in the country. The other stands were small roofless terraces without seating. History Stavanger Stadion was closed in 2004 when Viking Stadion opened, but was reopened a few years later as a track and field stadium after a major reconstruction of the spectator stands. Stabæk Fotball is a Norwegian professional football club based in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo. It is part of the multi-sport organization Stabæk IF. Viking Stadion
Viking Stadion (currently named SR-Bank Arena for sponsorship purposes), is a football stadium in Stavanger, Norway. It was inaugurated in May 2004 and cost 160 million NOK (€20 million) to build. 50 million NOK, plus the lot it was built on, was a gift from the municipality. It replaced Stavanger Stadion as the home stadium of Viking FK. In 2006, the stadium was expanded beyond the original capacity of 15,300 to 16,600. The capacity was later reduced to 16,300 in 2012 to make room for two giant screens. From 2018 the capacity is again reduced to 15,900. Originally an all-seater stadium, parts of the west stand have been converted to safe standing in recent years. The record attendance is 16,600 from 24 June 2007, when Viking met Brann. Svein Fjælberg
Svein Fjælberg (born 12 January 1959) is a Norwegian former football defender. He played 11 seasons for the Norwegian club Viking, where he won the league twice as well as two cup titles. Fjælberg was capped 33 times for Norway. After his retirement he served as the assistant coach of Viking on three occasions. Player career Club career Fjælberg was born in Sola, and started playing football for Sola FK. As a 17-year-old, Anbjørn Ekeland and Viking wanted his services, but he stayed at Sola a couple more years until he moved to Viking in 1979. Viking paid Sola 45,000 for the transfer, which was Viking's most expensive transfer at the time. Fjælberg played in every match during his first season at Viking when they won the double, and his good performances at the club made him a candidate for the national team.
