"Kiss the Stars" is a song by English singer Pixie Lott from her second studio album, '' Young Foolish Happy'' (2011). The song was released digitally in the United Kingdom on 29 January 2012 as the album's third and final single. The dance-pop song was written by Lott in collaboration with its producers Mads Hauge and Phil Thornalley. "Kiss the Stars" received mainly negative reviews from contemporary critics who criticised the song's lyrics and close similarities to Katy Perry's "Firework" but praised its catchiness and dance-pop rhythms. The song peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart. The song has been accompanied by a futuristic-themed music video, which was released on 10 January 2012. The video was met with mainly positive reviews. Victoria Louise Lott (born 12 January 1991), better known by her stage name Pixie Lott, is an English singer and songwriter. Her debut album, '' Turn It Up'', released in September 2009, reached number six on the UK Albums Chart and sold over 1.5 million copies. It also spawned six consecutive top twenty singles on the UK Singles Chart, including two number-one singles, "Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)" and " Boys and Girls". Her second album, '' Young Foolish Happy'' (2011), spawned the number-one hit " All About Tonight", as well as the top ten singles " What Do You Take Me For?" and " Kiss the Stars".
