Kirsten Casimir
Kirsten Nicole Casimir (born 28 May 1978) is a former Dominican cricketer who played for the Windward Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He played as a right-handed middle-order batsman. Casimir made his first-class debut in January 2001, playing for the Windwards in the 2000–01 Busta Cup. He scored 63 on debut against the Leeward Islands, what was to be his highest first-class score. Playing for the Northern Windward Islands team in the 2001–02 Red Stripe Bowl, Casimir scored 83 against Trinidad and Tobago, from fourth in the batting order. The following season, he played for the Rest of Windward Islands team. Casimir's final matches for the Windwards came during the 2003–04 Red Stripe Bowl. The 2002–03 Red Stripe Bowl was the 29th edition of what is now the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). It ran from 14 August to 1 September 2002, with matches played in Jamaica and Saint Lucia. Ten teams contested the competition, including several first-time participants. British Virgin Islands National Cricket Team
The British Virgin Islands cricket team has represented the British overseas territory of the British Virgin Islands in cricket. The team is not a member of the International Cricket Council, but is a member of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, which itself is a member association of the West Indies Cricket Board, and players from the British Virgin Islands generally represent the Leeward Islands cricket team at domestic level and the West Indies at international level. Stanford 20/20
The Stanford 20/20 was a short-lived cricket tournament in the Caribbean island of Antigua. It was held first in July and August 2006 in the West Indies at the Stanford Cricket Ground, St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda, and then again in the same place in 2008. It was a variety of the popular Twenty20 format, which had been first introduced in English cricket in 2003. The tournament was separate to the Stanford Super Series, which was held in late 2008. The tournament was privately devised and funded by wealthy American businessman Allen Stanford, who held Antiguan dual nationality. The Windward Islands cricket team is a cricket team representing the member countries of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control. The team plays in the West Indies Professional Cricket League (including the NAGICO Regional Super50) under the franchise name Windward Islands Volcanoes. It includes the islands that were known as the British Windward Islands except for Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, who have their own teams. The Leeward Islands cricket team is a first class cricket team representing the member countries of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, an associate of the West Indies Cricket Board.
