Edmond Kiraz
Edmond Kiraz, born Kirazian (25 August 1923 – 11 August 2020) was an Egyptian-born French-Armenian cartoonist and illustrator. Biography Born in Cairo of Armenian descent, Kiraz began his career as a political cartoonist at 17 (without artistic training) in Egypt, before emigrating to post-World War II Paris. In 1950 he created the comic strip ''Line''. In 1959, while he was working for the French magazine ''Jours de France'', his boss, Marcel Dassault, had him move from politics to humor. As time passed, Kiraz developed a distinctive and humorous pictorial style of representing women that he called ''Les Parisiennes:'' very thin, with long legs, small breasts, and a pouty face. Esra Kiraz (born 1992) is a Turkish armwrestler. Competing in the senior women's 55 kg category, she has been world and European champion several times in both left and right arm categories. Early life Esra Kiraz was born into a family of sportspeople in 1992. She went to İmam Hatip High School in Kadıköy, Istanbul. As of 2012–13 she was a student at Kocaeli University. She grew up helping her father Ömer Kiraz with floor and wall tiling at his construction site, where she carried cement bags. Sports career Early years At school, Kiraz was not a diligent student. Ferhat Kiraz
Ferhat Kiraz (born 2 January 1989) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a left winger. Kiraz is also a youth international, capped at the U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-21 levels. Early life and club career Kiraz was born 2 January 1989 in the town of Bozkır in Konya Province. The same year he was born, his father moved to Austria for work. His father visits Kiraz and the rest of his family twice a year. He has a younger brother, Yusuf, a right back currently playing for Hacettepe. Kiraz began his career with local club Konya Demirspor. George Kiraz
George Anton Kiraz ( syr, ܓܘܪܓܝ ܒܪ ܐܢܛܘܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܟܝܪܐܙ; born 1965) is a Syriac engineer and entrepreneur, best known for his contribution to modern Syriac studies. Biography George Kiraz was born in Bethlehem to a Syriac Orthodox merchant family which traces its roots back to Elazığ in Anatolia. He learned Syriac at Monastery of Saint Mark, Jerusalem. In 1983 he emigrated with his family to the United States where they settled in Los Angeles. He holds numerous degrees including a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from California State University in 1990, a master's degree in Syriac Studies from University of Oxford in 1991, a master's degree in computer speech and language processing, and a Ph.D. degree in computational linguistics from University of Cambridge in 1992 and 1996 respectively. Ümmü Kiraz (born September 27, 1982, in Acıpayam, Denizli Province, Turkey) is a Turkish female long-distance runner, who specializes in the marathon. She was a member of Denizli Belediyespor before she transferred to Kasımpaşaspor in Istanbul, where Kiraz is coached by Öznur Hatipoğlu. The tall athlete at is a student of physical education and sports at the Pamukkale University's vocational college. At the 2012 Adana Half Marathon, Kiraz came second behind Bahar Doğan.
