Kira Marie Peter-Hansen
Kira Marie Peter-Hansen (born 23 February 1998) is a Danish politician. She is a Socialist People's Party (part of the Greens–European Free Alliance group) Member of the European Parliament (MEP) elected in the 2019 European parliamentary election. Peter-Hansen is the youngest ever MEP. Early life Kira Marie Peter-Hansen was born on 23 February 1998 in Frederiksberg, Capital Region of Denmark. She grew up in Værløse, Furesø Municipality. Peter-Hansen joined the youth wing of the Socialist People's Party, the Youth of the Socialist People's Party in 2015. Peter-Hansen is a financial officer in the organisation. The party is left-wing, socialist, and supports green policy. Prior to her political career, she also worked as a barista. Socialist People's Party (Denmark)
The Green Left ( da, Socialistisk Folkeparti, SF) is a democratic socialist political party in Denmark. It was formerly known in English as the Socialist People's Party, the literal translation of its Danish name. History 1959–1969 The SF was founded on 15 February 1959 by Aksel Larsen, a former leader of the Communist Party of Denmark (DKP). Larsen was removed from the ranks of the DKP for his criticism over the Soviet intervention in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Larsen and the new SF sought to form a third way between Denmark's United States-oriented social democracy and Soviet Union–oriented communism, which sought to combine democracy with socialism. 2017 Danish Local Elections
The Danish local elections of 2017 were held on 21 November 2017 for Denmark's 98 municipal councils and five regional councils. All 2,432 seats were contested for the 2018–21 term of office, together with 205 seats (a fixed number of 41 seats in each council) in five regional councils. In the previous election, there were 2,444 seats in the municipal councils. The 1999 European Parliament election was a European election for all 626 members of the European Parliament held across the 15 European Union member states on 10, 11 and 13 June 1999. Margrete Auken
Margrete Helle Auken (born 6 January 1945) is a Danish politician who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2004. She is a member of the Socialistisk Folkeparti, part of the European Green Party. She was also formerly a Member of the Folketing. Auken was educated at the University of Copenhagen and is a ''sognepræst'' (parish priest) at the Frederiksberg Church in the Church of Denmark.
