Kinna is a locality and the seat of Mark Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 14,776 inhabitants in 2010. Kinna is located south of Borås and south east of Gothenburg. Mark Municipality
Mark Municipality (''Marks kommun'') is a municipality in Västra Götaland County in southwest Sweden. The municipal seat is located in the center of Kinna town. The municipality was created through the Municipal Reform Act of 1971 by the amalgamation of eight smaller municipal entities. Coat of arms The coat of arms was created and granted with the municipality in 1974. The colours of Gold and Black on the shield represent power and solidity. The ''grain'' represents the history of agriculture in the region. The ''circles'' symbolise four cannonballs, representing the wars fought between Denmark and Sweden in the greater Mark region. Mor Kerstin I Stämmemand-Kinna
Kerstin Andersdotter (1774–1852), known as Mor Kerstin i Stämmemand-Kinna ('Mother Kerstin of Stämmemand-Kinna'), was a Swedish textile industrialist. She was an important figure within the Swedish textile industry in the first half of the 19th century, managing a major cotton industry through the putting-out system in around the countryside of Kinna in Västergötland. In 1840, 80 percent of all cotton textiles sold from Sweden was sold from the Kinna area. Life She was born in the rural area of Kinna as the daughter of the wealthy farmer Anders Jonsson and Elin Larsdotter, and married in 1800 to the wealthy farmer Erik Andersson (1772–1813). Her husband was the owner of the farm Stämmemand in Kinna, hence her own soubriquet. She had five children: two sons (one surviving to adulthood) and three daughters. Gabriella Evelina Quevedo (born 12 January 1997, Kinna, Sweden) is a Swedish guitarist. She grew up in Kinna and developed an interest in guitar because her father played the instrument. Her father is from Argentina and her mother is Argentine-Swedish. In addition to Swedish, she also speaks English and she understands Spanish. She began playing guitar at age twelve, quickly discovering, and mastering fingerstyle guitar techniques, which led to her recording a number of covers of other guitarists' performances and her own guitar arrangements on YouTube. Jonas Jerebko (; born March 2, 1987) is a Swedish professional basketball player. He was selected as the 39th overall pick in the second round of the 2009 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons, becoming the second Swedish-born basketball player (after Miles Simon) to be selected in the NBA draft. Jerebko played a total of 10 seasons in the NBA with four different teams, the Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors.
