Kingston Railway Station (London)
Kingston railway station is in Kingston upon Thames in south-west London. It is down the line from . The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway. It is in Travelcard Zone 6. History The station opened on 1 July 1863 as "Kingston Town", to distinguish it from the earlier Kingston station (which became ) on the South West Main Line. It was then the terminus of the London & South Western Railway branch line from . The platforms built when the line was prolonged in 1869 to connect to the South West Main Line were named "Kingston High Level". The Southern Railway rebuilt and unified the station in 1935. In August 2010 it was refurbished, with the entrance, but not the concourse, moving a few metres to face Wood Street instead of being at the corner formed by Wood Street and Richmond Road, and the independent shop was replaced by a WHSmith and a Costa Coffee shop. Twickenham railway station is in Twickenham in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, and is in Travelcard Zone 5. By track it is from . Only one main street abuts the station – at its west end – London Road running between a trunk road south of Twickenham Stadium and the town centre to the south including the town's public section of riverside. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway. Apart from Richmond Railway Bridge it is at the heart of a long section of two tracks ''at grade'' (i.e. the level of the surrounding land) between Putney and Egham. East Croydon
East Croydon is a railway station and tram stop in Croydon, Greater London, England, and is located in Travelcard Zone 5. At from , it is one of the busiest non-terminal stations in London, and in the United Kingdom as a whole. It is one of three railway stations in the London Borough of Croydon with Croydon in their name, the others being West Croydon and South Croydon. A Tramlink tram stop is located immediately outside the main station entrance. The present station building opened on 19 August 1992. It consists of a large steel and glass frame suspended from a lightweight steel structure that straddles the track and platforms to a much greater extent than was possible with its Victorian predecessor. Clapham Junction railway station () is a major railway station and transport hub near St John's Hill in south-west Battersea in the London Borough of Wandsworth. East Grinstead Railway Station
East Grinstead railway station is one of the two southern termini of the Oxted line in the south of England and serves East Grinstead in West Sussex. It is from , although trains mostly run to and from . The station is managed by Southern. The station was formerly divided into two levels: the higher-level platforms serving the Three Bridges to Tunbridge Wells Central Line, whilst the lower-level platforms received services from the Oxted line and the East Grinstead to Lewes Line. History The original Reigate stations were located two miles from the town centre in a hamlet then known as Warwick Town but which later became Redhill. Red Hill and Reigate Road station was opened by the London and Brighton Railway on 12 July 1841. The nearby town was then served by a horse-drawn omnibus service operated by the railway. This was followed on 26 May 1842 by the South Eastern Railway (SER) Red Hill station (later misleadingly renamed 'Reigate'). Tonbridge railway station is on the South Eastern Main Line in England, serving the town of Tonbridge, Kent. It is from London Charing Cross via . Trains calling at the station are operated by Southeastern and Southern. Tonbridge forms a junction between the South Eastern Main Line, the Hastings Line and the Redhill–Tonbridge line.
