Kings Langley is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Kings Langley is located 28.3 kilometres north-west in a straight line from the Sydney central business district in the local government area of Blacktown City council. The suburb extends from the south-west of Vardys Road and Sunnyholt Road, with the north-east adjacent the Glenwood, Bella Vista and Baulkham Hills areas. ''Homely'', a real estate website, gave an overall score of 9.4/10 and ranked it the 14th-best suburb in Sydney. History Early settler Matthew Pearce (1762-1831) called his land grant after Kings Langley Manor House in Hertfordshire, England, where he was said to have been born. Pearce’s grant was situated on the opposite side of the Old Windsor Road to the present day suburb of Kings Langley. A housing scheme used the name in the 1970s. Kings Langley is a village, former Manorialism, manor and civil parishes in England, civil parish in Hertfordshire, England, north-west of Westminster in the historic centre of London and to the south of the Chiltern Hills. It now forms part of the London commuter belt. The village is divided between two Non-metropolitan district, local government districts by the River Gade with the larger western portion in the Borough of Dacorum and smaller part, to the east of the river, in Three Rivers District. The Westlink M7 or M7 Motorway, formerly Western Sydney Orbital, is a tolled urban motorway in Sydney and is a part of the Sydney Orbital Network. The Hills Motorway (also known as the Hills M2 Motorway, M2 Motorway or simply M2) is a tollway in north-western Sydney, Australia, owned by toll road operator Transurban. It forms majority of Sydney's M2 route and part of the 110 km Sydney Orbital Network, with Lane Cove Tunnel constituting the rest of the M2 route. The M2 is also part of the National Highway west of Pennant Hills Road. It was known as the North West Transport Link during planning in the early 1990s. Sydney Trains is the operator of the suburban passenger rail network serving the city of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The network is a hybrid urban- suburban rail system with a central underground core that covers over of track and 170 stations over eight lines.
